At least until it gets in your garden and eats all your plants. :somad
No garden to worry about here. No sun.... If it is brave enough to climb up onto my deck and into dog territory, it deserves any veggies it gets!!
You cant garden????????

Okay, I kinda lied. I can plant garlic. I did have some success with that last year. I've got a spot behind the garage that faces south, but has tall trees on the western edge so lots of afternoon shade. They're on the neighbors' property so they can't be cut down. I'm not going to ask either because they screen my animals from the neighbors. We like these people, they like us and they tolerate the animals. Can't push it too much!
I started a little Christmas shopping. I'm totally not into shopping this year, which is good. I ordered a few things for DS. He and I braved the mall tonight. It wasn't very crowded. We also went to Michaels. DS asked if he could get a model for he and DH to do together. What a smart kid! His dad loves to put together models, had a model builders club at school for years. So DS picked out a Star Wars one. He carefully hid it under his bed when we got home and is walking around like the cat that swallowed the canary!
My brother and his girlfriend like gift cards. My mom does too but I usually try to find her something nice that she isn't expecting. Dad is getting the new Mark Twain autobiography. Don't know how much we'll be doing with DH's family. Up until last year we'd been doing stocking stuffers only, except for the kids. Last year we didn't do gifts at all and didn't even get together wiht his sister and family. They are coming East this year so don't know what the plan will be with them. I really hate the stocking stuffer bit . It ends up being a bunch of junk. I at least try to put some thought into it but that takes a lot of time and effort.
15.5 more days of school til vacation. Yeah, I'm counting!
I've got this stinking cold and I do NOT want to take time off now. Monday at the HS was awful. Huge girl fight, police, blood, etc. All the kids were talking about it all day. It was impossible to get anything done. Then there was a wave of graffiti in the afternoon in the bathrooms right outside my room. Fun fun.
Today at the elementary school we started with an assembly of an African drum and dance troupe. They were amazing! And the kids were talking about that all day and had a hard time settling down. I feel like I'm spinning my wheels trying to get any work done. It won't get better as Christmas gets closer either.
I decided I am NOT baking cookies this year. DS and I can't eat them. I wonder if anyone will notice and comment? I usually show up with a platter of all different kinds and the cousins snack on them because Nana doesn't buy snack foods and only serves 2 meals a day. Gonna be some hungry teenagers this year :/
At least we won't have the tension of soon-to-be-ex-BIL-the-jerk this year......
Off to take my Bio-Vegetarian and put on my wet socks. I swear it works better than Nyquil!

Woke up and started coughing. Ick. Dry, barking cough and rapidly losing my voice. Put DS on the bus, milked the goat and fed the birds. I'm going back to bed.

Thanks! Sleep will help. Right now the dogs are so happy I'm home. Once they settle I can lie down for a bit. That will help a lot!

The windy rainy day helped. I curled up on the sofa with three dogs and a cat. Turned on National Geographic and watched a 2 hour special on Stonehenge. When I wasn't dozing anyway! Off to pick up the kiddo from school and then the sofa and I will become one again. I may have to watch Phineas and Ferb though....

We had a cold rain yesterday, lots of wind. It was ideal for sleeping. Of course, I was creating minor disasters outside instead LOL

Hope you feel better!
