I'd like to see a pic of that special sugar bowl and the other pottery you got, please!
Sure thing! I've got to get in the shower becuase I just volunteered to pick something up at the church and drive it to the vicarage but in the meantime here is their website. The sugar bowl is quite petite. We got the cinnamon glaze. I have dinner plates and tankard mugs in the same glaze. We just got 4 medium plates in the blackberry. We also have 2 tankards in the turquoise. Part of the reason we drive up when we can is that "Potters Yard" carried seconds, etc. and we can pick through and find pieces that are really quite good and up $6 less than full price. My sugar bowl was full price though. The seconds all had lids that didn't fit quite right, etc.
The vicar's wife is the one who turned me on to Bennington. She has a huge colletion and it was my love for her sugar bowl that prompted me to start my collection. Hers is blackberry. There is just something about the shape of it that appeals to me. And the glazes are so perfect. The tankards feel just right in your hand and against your lip as you sip your coffee. DH can fit three fingers in the handle (his requirement for a coffee mug!)

Love that house and property! Very nice!
I love everything about it except the price. It's not bad for our area but definitely not something we'll be able to do for a long, long time.
I can't remember, did the pictures show the orchard? All that flat land and sunshine. It's everything my place isn't!

NOT Southern, Ca. :)
That house is just beautiful. The whole place is just perfect, I have flat land envy. The barns and out buildings are worth so much. I find on my quest for a place that they make all the difference. Oh and the fencing too.

Maybe some day. Hang in there.

Yup, someday! I have sun envy as well as flat land envy. And fencing and oh! It's just perfect! I even like the neighbors!
