We are home again today too Hen. I think the back streets were still too bad and this morning the temp was between 2 and 4 degrees with a 15 below wind chill!! Cool? I'll say!

Big dog took the pup out for a snow romp earlier, so now he is collapsed. Right now it is a balmy 7 degrees. No walks for me! I got a load of wood it and that was PLENTY enough outdoors for a while.

Thanks! More coming. I went out with dog and boy. I came in with snow up my pant legs. It is DEEP! We've got to have 2 feet and more where it's drifted. I'm back in my jammies. Brr! We snow shoed down the street in the 4 new inches since the plow last came through. DH has been out for hours. He's got the cars clear and we can get out. Now he's working on the mailbox. Our rural driver doesn't get out of the truck so she has to be able to drive up to the mailbox. Right now there's about 4 feet of plowed snow that extends about 5 feet out into the road. She can't get near it. If we don't do it we get nasty notes from the PO and we have to pick up our mail.

Not ours, but our neighbor's. I wish! But he broke down 4 times today. Not fun!

This is why I ended up flat on my back in the snow, laughing

We all seem to think we'll at least have a 90 minute delay. There's still a lot to clear out there and it is still snowing lightly. I'm glad it's not as cold here. Brrrr! Stay warm!!

DH (my James) is back out with the snow blower. The plow just made 3 more trips up and down the road so the end of the driveway is blocked again.

It's very light, but it's definitely going to snow for the rest of the afternoon here.
DH was blowing the snow when the plow came through a 4th time. Poor guy! He's done out front and touching up in back so we'll be able to get to the barn, shed, etc. in the morning. I reallyreallyreally want a delay!!

I just came in from shoveling out the barn doors, gates, and some pathways where dh can't go with the snowblower. He is touching up with the snowblower now, almost done. We got about 16-18" so far, I think. It is such a relief to be able to go out there and do my chores without the bungees around my ankles, holding my snow pants shut against the snow. That is my tip for you, Hen!

The goats were so relieved to be able to get out and walk around a bit. Only one chicken came out. The turkeys wouldn't come down, even when I shut the goats out for a while. They are going to be very hungry and thirsty by tomorrow, but I did all I could! Guinea cock, too, wouldn't come down from the rafters. Silly birds.

I am so relieved to not be milking Mya evenings now, so I can get everything done before dark and not have to go back out!

Your pictures are so cute!!!!
