happy birthday little man!

Sorry the day was a little rough at first but I'm glad it's getting a little bit better. That pizza sounds awesome!

Sorry the old dog had a rough day. I know how it is... .my almost 15yr old Lab is showing his age as well.
Bloodwork would probably show a lot, but if you don't want to do the costs of that you can feed a bland diet (chicken/rice very little salt) for a while and see if he improves - bland diet is good for kidney and liver ailments

Thanks guys! AL that is a good idea. He's eating, but not with his usual enthusiasm. We're going to call the vet again and look into bloodwork. All last week's visit accomplished really was determining that his heart sounds great, he does't seem to be in obvious pain. The vet we saw didn't think he'd had a seizure or stroke (I still wonder about strokes because he's much more confused looking than usual). We didn't see our regular vet, he had the day off. Hopefully we can get in to see Dr. Steve this week and see what he thinks. I suspect some major organ is aging and shutting down. I don't want to put the poor thing through a lot but if we can get some answers through bloodwork it will be easier to make decisions.

Back on the birthday note, the pizza was a huge success. I used Breads From Anna's new pizza crust mix. Rice, corn, soy, gluten, nut and dairy free. It was very good for GF pizza.

Wow! Our kids were born on the exact same DAY!! That's really cool. He was born in Russia though so he is probably a little bit older. We haven't scheduled a party yet. It's an incredibly busy time of year. Now with the dog situation I'm really glad we waited.
OH! Thomas the nut must have been butting heads with his sister. He cracked his other tiny scur. I might not have known but both his head, and Daisy's, were a little bloody yesterday afternoon. The scur is still there, it didn't quite fall off. No more white goats! It looks like they've been attacked when he does this.

And today is my DH's birthday. But, I think he's a tad bit older than either of your kids.

If not, you're probably breaking some law in most states.....
He is sound asleep having changed his mind about the ranking of this birthday. His riding instructor emailed to aske if we could move his lesson up to Tuesday. And she invited him for extra practice Saturday afternoon. He is going to ride in his first show on Sunday, on a lead line. I didn't think he'd want to do it but he did.

Man OH man! That pizza sure looks good to me. I have been hungry for pizza for a while now, but since I either have to get off my hiney and make one or drive 20 miles for a GF one I will have to wait a while longer.

Lead line class sure brings back a bunch of memories. Both good and bad ones. The good ones are all memories of each of my kids showing. It was a really fun introduction to the horse show world.

The bad memory is from a LONG time ago. It happened during my first horse show ever when we had NO clue what to do. I was the leader for my sis who is eight years younger. While we were in the ring a stallion broke loose from another trailer and then "took possession" of our Walking Horse mare that was tied to the trailer. I remember standing in the arena watching our horse be attacked and then run away!! The did recover both horses, but it was scary.

I bet! DS will be riding a pony who is a gelding so hopefully nothing like that will happen!
This is the first GF pizza crust I've tried that isn't a rice flour base. I like it a lot better. Not that I'm supposed to be eating pizza mind you, but one slice for DS's 9th birthday was a must!

Did you pre-bake the crust? I have found when I make GF crusts they do better if I bake the crust about 10 minutes before adding the sauce and toppings. :)
