Thanks!
Busy with work. It's tiring but rewarding. Knitting some. Trying to finish a sock. I have yet to attempt a heel. If I can figure this out I plan to go nuts. I LOVE socks. Comfy socks are like little hugs for your feet!! Reading library books on simplicity. Currently nose-first in Simplicity Parenting. Rehomed our last quail yesterday and reclaimed our computer room. Continually decluttering. Planted and mulched garlic. Felt really cool tucking it in for the winter. Tomorrow should be 75 degrees here. It snowed a little again on Sunday. Dodged a bullet yesterday. DS was jumping on his pogo stick. When he dismounted the pogo stick came up and hit him in the mouth. Lots of blood, mostly from an already really loose tooth. He also cut his lip a little. No emergency room visit required. Today he has a bruise that you can only see if you know where to look, and a scraped up chin.
Lady bugs are everywhere! Hundreds of them on any light colored surface. I was getting my hair cut yesterday and the stylist had to pick one out of my hair! Gross! They were all over the outside of the building.
Made a delicious stew from grass fed beef tonight. Amazing! Very simple too. Wish I'd had time to make homemade noodles but oh well!
Found out there was a community garden in town last year. They ended up short handed and lost 1/4 of the crops! It's around the corner from our church. They now have our names and email so we can find out more about it for next year. We'll never have enough sun in our yard to plant as big a garden as I'd like so this could be really good!
Going into winter planning mode~making wish lists for the future. Reading what others are up to. Enjoying life. I love autumn!

That's great about the community garden, and so close to you.

Glad your DS wasn't hurt badly. Pogo sticks can be fun. When my DS was about 12-13 he had one. We used to sit and count how many times he could "pogo in a row". I think it was close to 300.

Your weather sounds like E. Tenn. weather. "If you don't like it, stick around - it will change."

Lucky thing for your son....that could have been very unpleasant!
Cool on the community garden, I think that is such a great way to expand your garden and meet other like minded folks :)

See I knew that sunshine I had would come your way, Eventually. :D

I was out looking over my garden yesterday. Trying to figure out just what I need to do this weekend. I pulled the last of my bell pepper and eggplant out. They probably could have been revived but it's time to move on.

I am glad your ds is ok. My dd fell off a step stool once and bit her tongue. Talk about blood. It was a gusher. Nothing you can do for your tongue though. It healed remarkably fast, thank goodness.

Enjoy your fall day!!!

Oh DH swears he had a childhood friend who got stitches in his tongue. :/
It truly hit 75 today. Weird after having had to scraped windshields and look at snow on the ground. Strangest autumn I can recall!
Praying for one student who is pregnant and one in a psych hospital. Sigh. The tougher side of work, caring about the kids.

I had stitches in my tongue as a kid. Was laying prone on a swing and hit my chin on the ground, while sticking out my tongue. It still hurts to think about it.

Oooo, it hurts to read about it. Now I'm doubly glad he's okay. I think it's a growth spurt clumsy phase. There seems to be a bump, bruise or scrape every day these days.
Thanks Farm. I'm not used to working with high school kids. This girl is in a tough spot. The little one who is hospitalized is my son's age. I think that's affecting my reaction to a degree.
