thanks guys. I think I am making peace with the situation. When I have quite time I tend to try and work out the anger, and the pain its caused me.

You never think you kids will betray and go out of their way to hurt you. Its shocking and soul crushing.

I'm spending the day trying to get the last bits of the chicken coop done so I can paint it. I cant wait to post the pics. Its looking sooo pretty. Its a chicken mansion. LOL

We are naming the coop the Coop de Hill. we think we are funny. Inside the nest boxes we put little notes on the walls like
No duds
No roosters allowed
Golden Eggs go here

I think once its done I may put twisted insprirational qoutes on the inside.
Bless this coop with eggs and laughter or something silly.
oh or maybe put up pics of really handsome roosters. Lol.

:caf This is why I should wake up fully before typing.

I like the idea of the inspirational messages. You could also draw a bunch of eggs with an arrow that says eggs go here. fixed typo

Sometimes they just have to make their own mistakes and realize it for themselves. There's nothing you can do about it but let her go and do her thing. She's old enough to make up her own mind and she'll probably realize down the road that it was a bad decision.
:hugs I agree. And vow never to say another negative thing about the ex's in front of the kids. Some times it's pretty hard to take the higher road, but...

Hang in there. Our 'problem child' finally outgrew his rebelious stage (took for-ev-er!). He just had to do it his way. I had many tears during and after. But he eventually grew up to be a wonderful man and I couldn't be prouder.

I hope your right Marianne. :he I keep hoping she will grow into something enjoyable. :hu But wow. When you commit to love a child unconditionally you never imagine it would be still loveing them when they spit venom at you and go out of their way to destroy your heart. I do love her. but cripes I do not like her even a little bit right now. :hit
I have stood my ground for my safety and my familys. she is not welcome on the property as long as she is associated with the ex. I have a restraining order for a very good reason against him. Not a safe person. at all. But I fear I am going to lose out on any future she has for a while. She's dating a marine I think, from what gossip I have heard. I hope she is. I hope they marry and she leaves out of the ex's house. I know the ex is violent so I'll take my chances with this guy. But that means missing weddings, maybe children. I hate that. I so look forward to grandbabies. But i doubt I could enjoy hers without her using them as a weapon against me anyway. So I am making peace with that potential loss before it becomes a reality. :barnie

On the coop front, we have it completely closed in. We can throw them in there if we want and they would be predator safe. But I wanna paint and trim out the interior and finish the outside. I bought two chickens to attatch to the outside, wooden ones. LOL.

Life is good if you believe it is. <-- My new mantra. But it is, all crap aside, I have a beautiful husband who is my best friend. Two kids who are awsome. A new coop, and lots of positive things coming my way.

:thumbsup

You just put al that pent up energy into that coop, and think of nothing negative for a while. Your daughter will come around, especially if she senses you have let go ;)
And she just might become exactly what you want her to be eventually.

This is the front door, I have white paint for trim to match the way the house it. But Im not sure what to paint white. I even have some scrap white lattice to trim it out to match the house. It's gonna be cutesy. heehee.

Hubby said he is glad the inspector is happy, meaning Pearl our wheat colored hen. She is always under foot checking on our progress. LOL.

We have put on the second coat since those pics. so the missed spots are sealed. We also replaced the latches on the poop door with hasp twist locks with a d ring closer deal. So its more secure.

We bought the materials for the run. But its hotter than hades her in central Texas and we are give out. Time to take it easy.

Having a beer, feeling pretty accomplished.

Ima be a fourth grade teacher. :weee LOL. Confirmed it today. Im sooo excited. Can you tell. :celebrate

Tomorrow we are making cheese. I bought a half gallon of whole milk. Not ultra pasturized. Some cheese cloth. So we will see.

Thought this would be a fun project to do with the kids. We are also gonna make some butter. Gotta head back to the grocery store for that, so it will have to wait.

Gonna look up some recipes to make with the ricotta. maybe ricotta pancakes. hmmmm.

Now if I can get over the quezies. :sick three days of what feels like morning sickness. I am NOT pregnant, but I feel like it. :sick I imagine its a parting gift from the high school. some cootie I took home. :rant

Hubbys truck is supposed to cost six hundred to get running again. :hit We are spending buckets to keep it running and honestly we need to look for a newer one. but his logic is to repair it till he cant. ughh. His truck so its his call.

If I get to feeling better, I hope to finish the paint on the coop and finish out the insides. The run is on the agenda but the truck has pushed it back. :duc
