oh and I wanted to share.... The little girl in my siggie, Top row center, big bows. That is my grandmother as a little girl. And that would be my great gma and gpa. I have learned much from doing my geneology and have found a sense of belonging.

Thanks. Im thinking fourth grade will be awsome. No snot, poop or much attitude. And I get to educate instead of babysit. :woot

Thanks for the sweet words about the coop. We are very proud. I bought a huge thermometer for it and found a couple of cute wooden chickens to decorate it. Heehee.

LOL. So bring a few deoderant samples? At high school it was funky town all the time. If it wasnt competing colognes it was who farted. gag.

Thanks for the coop compliments. I hope to get further this week, but my eight year old had a severe allergic reaction to a spider bite. E.R. and steriod shots and scripts. It was horrible. He told me it was itchy and then showed me :ep it was horrible. swollen and purple. And pus. :sick :hit

He's feeling ok but the steriod shot has caused him some serious pain, poor guy. He tries to be so tuff, but he hurts. I spoiled him and tucked him in early with t.v. and some benadryl. So maybe he will sleep and be better.

Dog is on my last bloody nerve. :barnie He got into the empty coop and drug out the bag of pine shavings. then tore open the bag all over the yard. :smack He is gonna have to live in his run if he cant control himself anybetter. He is chewing up everything. He digs and terrorizes the chickens. He's just making it really hard to like him. Im gonna try and educate myself on how to train him. I just hate to keep him penned, but if I ever give him a chance to get in the coop he will destroy them all, and he had to nose into the coop to get the pine shavings. ughh. :rant

Son is on the mend. Steriods are making him crazy hungry. I am ordered to make sloppy joes. He's also a bit aggressive. Lol. :smack
He's eating everything, two hot pockets. Three pancakes, two sloppy joes, and two cheese quesidillas.
And now a bowl of ice cream. He's only been awake for five hours. :ep

I'm doing up baggies of apple slices and another with carrots for him to munch on so maybe it will ease the hunger without packin on the pounds. Hes a really skinny kid, but he can definantly eat.
He's complaining of weakness and being tired, so i figure he may take a nap soon. His infection is much better. :thumbsup

We are letting our whole milk cheese experiment rest for two hours. I will let yall know how that goes.
The other one has church camp on Sunday for the week. So just me and my son for a week. I got a lot planned. Hopefully he can be in the sun soon.

Bought a wok at a garage sale, gonna try to eat some more healthy stuff. Also bought a rack to put my jelly jars in when I bathe them.

Well, I should get out in this heat and work on my coop. But crap if I have the motivation. :tongue

My waterbill keeps climbing. Ughh. Thank goodness we installed soaker hoses. But even still, the drought is brutal. I'm struggling to keep everything alive. I keep a pretty patch of st. augustine in the front yard and im having to water it more than i ever have.

Garden is limping hard. Got one carrot so far, and they may be it. Tomatoes are failing. Wahhh. :hit Gonna look for vegie and fruit sales and try to get some canning done. I had hoped to do it from my own vegies, but its not looking good.

The pomegranite and fig trees are doing well thanks to the soaker hoses. I look forward to those making fruit in the next year or two. so yummy.

Thanks to yall here, I am preparing a setup for some meaties. Gonna plan for the fall and learned we have a guy in the town over who will process them for us. Im hoping to put some fresh meat in the freezer this winter.

Rain barrells are bone dry and the fish pond is getting way too low. My poor fish.

Rain lordie please. :somad

I then let it rest and drained it threw the cheese cloth, did a lil taste. its bland but I expected that. It tastes fresh and yummy though. it just needs some salt.
