 First of all Happy Birthday!!!
My parents just had their well pump die. They got lucky also and were able to call a guy from our church who charged as little as he could and set up a payment plan for them. Could have been a nightmare! Glad it is working out for you. Enjoy the bridemaid dress shopping! I could tell some nightmare stories there of friends who got married in the 80s and the ugly dresses we had to wear! NO-I'm not sharing pictures. ;)

Tuesday< whew it has been such a crazy long weekend I have been actually looking forward to today! I have pheasants hatching under my broody game hen that I put pheasant and Musc ducks under. I think im going to move the duck eggs to the hatcher today and see how they do. I might let her try and raise the three little Ringneck pheasant chicks. If I had any chicken eggs about to hatch I would take those two and give he chicks,,, but alas I dont. Gotta get my head count of young roos together that im taking to the auction Thursday night.

Im thinking of building a new pen. My dad and his girlfriend have a bunch of wire left over after building their coops, Some even 6 foot wire and they are going to give me some! I want to build a larger coop to move my Cuckoo Marans or Dc into later since I have lots of babies growing out right now. I want to have the Broiler meat bird project birds to be seperate than the marans eventually. I also need another pheasant pen.

Sorry DC is Dark Cornish. Im hoping to have Second generations going by spring. Im trying to develop my own broiler/ Ranger types that i can reproduce myself. So far I really like the looks of my CM/ DC Juvies I have. I want to breed my DC hens back to a CM/ DC rooster and Im hoping I can get my hands on Standard Cornish roo to breed to a couple DC/ CM pullets. Its a work in progress but I gotta sketchy plan. Im just working at it as I go best I can with what I have.

What a great present and Happy Birthday!!

My MIL would just sigh, shake her head and get me a Belk's gift card if I asked for something like that. :/

Well me and my mom are alot alike so we like the same things luckily.

Today I will actually get to spend the whole day by myself doing what i want and need to do without any interuptions or anyone needing me to go here or there or go into town and take care of business or wedding stuff.

So I plan on processing some of the Muscovie drakes I had growing out for my freezer this winter. I also want to work on making my my flower girl basket. I just have a plain cute little basket from goodwill. I will be painting it black and covering the bottom with Ivory chiffon fabric and a black ribbon. Next time I go into town I will get some ivory ribbon to wrap arond the handle and I will be glueing ivory and black roses to it. I will have to take a picture of it when im done.
After that not sure what I will be doing.

Earlier this morning I was able to harvest some of my white eggplants and banana peppers, boy them banana peppers GREW over the weekend. Just a few of them will make a pint of sliced pickled banana peppers.

Sure they are called cloud nine. I never saw them until last year but now they are popular. I will take a picture for you when I slow down some.
