Ah a new morning, The possiblilities are endless today. I would love DF to help me build a door for my silkie pen. I just need 2x4s. So far we have been really lucky and come by recyled wood for almost all the "animal construction". Might have to take a trip to lowes. Also I want to build a stand for one of my wire rabbit cages. That way it will be elevated high off the ground, high enough my goats can't get on top of it and use it for a bed and crush it down. My other two cages are your standard hutches, off the ground with two sections each. I need to seperate my doe from the babies today so she can get to building herself back up.
Our watermelon and cantelope patch is doing good. We have some good sized ones and this rain has em growing a mile a minute. There is about 7 on there now, at least 5 others have been knawed into and rolled halfway across the yard, Coon? Big ol Rat? If we get one up big enough to eat I will be happy. I am happy that my cucumber plant, the only thriver out of all them seeds has about 5 baby cukes on it. YAY! More Relish here we come.
I have Yet another OEGB settin some eggs. Man they set like crazy, ever since spring I have had at least one or two or three setting at the same time. They are the best pheasant incubators there are tho. Speaking of pheasants, out of the 6 I have hatched thanks to broodies I have 3 that are thriving and getting big. I hope I have at least one female out of the bunch I have no idea how to tell at this point but two of them have a longer tail then the others. So im guessing the shorter tail one could be a female? That would suite me just fine, two for the pan and 1 for the pen.
Well thats all for now, I will post pics of my muscovies later. Which btw I still havent got any eggs for..grrr on a happy note I do like them tho.
