Blackbird, Yes I do sell hatching eggs. The Rouens are laying now (they are almost ALWAYS LAYING) the chocs have not laid since I brought them here but I hope they start soon. They have been mating like crazy. When they do start laying I fully intent to try and sell some of thier eggs, they are pigs with feathers I gotta feed them somehow, LOL.

Yesterday I had 20 new babies!

We have a 30 gallon bow front tank in our living room with all sorts of mollies, balloon, lyre tail, sail fin, dalmation, white, black, creamcicle, calico etc. This is our 4th batch of fry and the LARGEST. The first time we found 2 and our son managed to let them out of the nursury and they got ate by the gourami he had. No more gourami. The second batch we found was 3 mollies which we still have two of and they are bigger and living in the tank now. One is calico and one is going to be yellow or creamcicle I think. The third batch was from a calico balloon that we just got, she only had 1 solid black baby, he is still in the nursury. Yesterday I was looking in there and noticed a WHOLE bunch of babies all around the nursury. I searched and caught baby fish for hours. Final count 20! I think besides the two small young ones that I dont know the sex of yet I think I only have three females, A black balloon, a Dalmation Regular mollie and the calico balloon the rest are males. I'm figuring this is probably the regular Dalmation's first litter because she was HUGE. She seems to have grown two inches in the last couple months since we got her.

Mollies! I love Mollies!

I remember as a kid, we weren't allowed to have pets, and my brothers and I really wanted some kind of pet. It was one of the few times in our lives I remember my mom had a job. I remember she took two of her paydays, so it took a couple weeks, but one pay she took us to the store to buy a fish tank and rocks, etc. She told us she was going to let us choose our own fish, so we could each have a "pet".

I don't have all wonderful memories with my mom, do have a lot of hurts that I've tried to let go, but this is one of those memories that when I look back, I realize my mom really did try to do her best for us with the best she had.

Two weeks after the tank was all set up, she took us to a store called Click's and we chose our fish. I chose Fancy Tail Guppies, my one brother chose Mollies, and my youngest brother chose Red Play's. All of them had babies constantly lol

I just found a nest with 4 muscovie eggs!!! Yay!! These are my first ones from these guys. I marked and left 2 and put two in the incubator. I can't wait to hatch some of these babies.

When you said babies, I thought you meant ducklings after seeing the duck pictures. And, what are they doing in glass?

Your ducks and chickens are beautiful, BTW. Congrats on the eggs.

LOL, Nope the babies are fishies. Speaking I haven't had any hatchlings from the poultry dept for a couple weeks now. After the 10th I will have em hatching for the rest of the month. On the 11th I have some black and white and pure white scovies hatching from a friends eggs.

Looks like their is a storm brewing today so Im going to try to find enough jars to can some Salsa, (my first salsa!) Mrs. Wages of course, Im doing the easy way. Less likely for failure that way. If I had more jars I would be making Spegetti sauce too. Maybe another day.

Yesterday the main door to my big chicken run was mysteriously open. Only the Muscovies and one young roo got out. I got them all back in but could not find the last muscovie hen all day and I had to go to town. I just knew a hawk or something would get her while I was gone. Surprise Surprise, When I got back I found her hiding in the grass behind my Banty house. No scratch on her. I was so happy to find her there all in one peice after being out all day by herself.

Nothing new going on around here, closer and closer to the big day and Ive been shopping my but off to get everything ready. So today Im taking the day off to be by myself and can.

I'm glad you found your chocolate hen.

As you may have seen on my journal, we're getting rid of a few animals, so I don't think now is a very good time to be adding more eggs, sorry.
I'll definitely check in about next year though.
If you needed buyers I bet you could find some on BYC pretty easily..
