Yes leg cramps are usually the result of a potassium / calcium imbalance.

The bananas do usually help.

Ewww, I KNEW someone would say.... eat bananas. :th I cant! :sick slimy....mushy...Ohhhh, the thought just makes my skin crawl! I like the flavor.. ie: Banana pudding. Its a texture thing. LOL Soo, what else out there will have the potasium? Other than pills. UGH! I am sooo not into taking pills. But, if thats what I need, to make this go away... :/
I guess I will do a search...see what else might have potasium...hopefully...something yummy! :p Thanks for the suggestion....something HAS to work...and I really cant afford to go see a Dr about it....right now.Besides, you know how Dr's are...." Oh, while I was looking at your problem, I found this...and this..and this...and this!! Now I want you to take this handfull of pills, 4 times a day" NO THANKS! LOL
OK, I need to go get ready for those piggies....hopefully!

I can't stand ripe bananas either. My grandfather taught me long ago that green bananas wont' kill me. :) And that's how I've always eaten them, still on the green and firm side. Once they get ripe around here I use them for banana bread, frozen dog treats, in smoothies (for the kids' breakfasts)...

So....yesterday the rescue orginization was supposed to deliver the 2 PB pigs. Now, remember, they contacted ME about taking them. I told them from the start, I would beed time to get the pen ready, and a shelter. So, I worked for a few days, getting the fencing secure enough for pigs. ( we know how hard that is) Got a great shelter for them, bought several bales of straw for the pen and shelter....its all set up and ready for the piggies. Well...she didnt come Saturday...so that means a Sunday delivery. Im up early...makeing sure I havent forgotten anything for the pen. Its ready to go...I get my chickens outside, fed watered, and start cleaning the coops. I gave a small flock of EE's to a friend, the one giving me the sheep..so I had that pen to clean out...and she took an extra rooster...so I had that pen to clean out, for the babies to go into. Worked into the mid afternoon...and still no call from the rescue. Hmmmm, ok, I will give them a call...see whats up. Need to make sure the pigs are here BEFORE dark! So, I call her...and right away she says... " I was meaning to call" ( never a good start to a conversation) " I wasnt home Saturday, my room mate was moveing out....I cam in late Saturday evening and everything looked normal. Sunday morning I got up to go feed everyone and the pigs are gone! Someone stole them" ( WHAT!???) She said she also had a "$700 Lhasa apso in the back yard, and it too is gone" There was no note from animal controll...but she tried calling them anyways. I asked her if she called the police, to make a report of the "stolem" animals...she said no. Hmmmm. You knwo, if they didnt want me to take in these pigs...FINE...just tell me. But I think she is lieing to me. She didnt sound like she was all that upset over the whole ordeal..I would be FRANTIC! Why are people this way? She proceeded to chat away about her life...her kids...her mother and fathers 1.5 million dollar home...blah blah blah. So, looks like I wont be getting the PB pigs after all. No skin off my teeth..I was offering a bit of help for pigs in need. I just dont get it. Why? Oh well....another wierd day in my life! LOL I told DH I will NOT contact her again about the pigs....IF she " finds them" and asks me to take them, I will....if not, well then, no big thing. IM going to get a few loads of laundry on the line, and run to town for supplies..and just go about my day. Thier loss....not mine...but I DO feel played.

That is weird! I would be upset too so that seems very fishy that she wasn/t and did not even bother to call you.

I agree, that sounds awfully fishy to me too. Look on the bright side, you got all your spring cleaning done...one more thing to check off the list! ;)

The way I look at it....I now have my pen ready for my feeder pigs! :p I just know about the time I get my feeders....they will call and have "found" them, and will want to bring them out. Im not sure if this is a rescue orginization I want to deal with or not. They just seem to jerk me around..and I am the one doing them a favor! Well, I WAS going to do them a favor. Now, im not sure I want to. Will just have to see what happens.

Bum deal jus, like you said before the pen is ready for your new pigs.

Sometimes people that keep you out in the dark till the last minute, are just depending on you when every other avenue that they have tried doesn't come through. Sort of like being a second fiddle IMHO, but I don't know them.

Sorry to hear about the rescue pigs. All things happen for a reason, now you can have your own piggy's. I do understand your frustration though.
