My little Angel...is a Shetland. Her color will change to whiteish, like her mother. Mary was a brown little lamb as well.

The tractor is a Ford 9N. I LOVE IT!!!

That is what I was thinking. She is sure a doll! Since she is a girl are you planning on keeping her?

Such an adorable ewe!! We have those old Fords come up for sale around here quite often and usually not very expensive. Do you know how well they work? I have been keeping my eyes open for a good ol tractor. My dh cousin in Mo. says they are worth their weight in gold there.

Congrats, you look good on it. ;)

Oh YES YOU DO!!!!! :D
I know there seem to be a few for sale around here as well. She paid I think $1500 for it, then she put several hundred into the front end. She has a box blade to go with it. :) Ya think I look good on it!?? HAHA! I hope we can get it....sure would be a BIG help around here. Now I need to start looking for attachments for the garden. ;)

I cant believe all the catchup I need to get done here. It is overwhelming at times. The weeds have completely taken over the garden while we were away. I have been working on both the gardens every day since we returned, and am about half way through them. Replanting the green beans, pulling weeds, pulling carrots, debugging the cabbages. The grapes have Birds Eye Rot, again this year. So frustrateing! All the heat and rain is really taking a toll on everything. I was hopeing to get the goat shed built this weekend, but it looks like we will be going to my stepdads to help him out on saturday for a bit, then going to get a few loads of firewood from a friend. He had dropped several trees, and cut it, we need to split it. :/ At least its free! :)
Sunday we will spend the day in Ohio, with the inlaws. Every year they have a big cookout at thier place...and we all get together.
Looks like the goat house will have to waite a bit longer.
I tried to turn Mary and Angel out with the rest of the flock. That didnt go over too well. Poor little Angel was chased by everyone. She was out of breath, so I put them back in the stall. Maybe another week. I hope I can get them out there soon, I know Mary needs and wants fresh grass. I have been cutting it for her but she really needs to graze.
This morning hubby has an appointment at the VA hospital. Just a checkup, and to get his scripts. Its an hour and a half drive, one way....yuk! On the good side, there is a woman up near there that has donated 2 farm gates to us, and we will be picking them up.
I Better get outside and get the chores done, so I have time to shower before we leave.

I love the tractor and eveytime I see pics of goats I get the fever.

My garden is pretty much weeds too. I will never catch up they are way to far ahead of me. Same thing here. Its either way to hot and dry or to wet. Right now I have wet.

Enjoy your 4th. :hugs

I have 4 grape vines and only one of them gets that Birds Eye Rot and tries to get it every year. It is a Reliance grape. I told my hubby I was going to chop the thing down and replace it with a more resistant variety after this year.

What kind of grapes do you have with the fungus?

We planted Concords. I thought they were pretty tough, at least the first few years they seemd to be. I am going to get a fungicide and soak them to the core! LOL If it helps, then great, of not, and it kills them off, well..I will replant. :/
