HAhaha! Supposed to be getting ANOTHER one...sometime this week I think. Animal controll did a siezure on some neglected animals, near here, and yup, ANOTHER PB pig! Its the month of the pig! LOLohiofarmgirl said:just popping by to say howdy!

the pig of the month club!!! that would be sooooooo cool....
ha ha ha ha ha
we just had some kind of barn fire or rescue around here. i just caught the end of the news segment and they were leading this 400 lbs sow away.. great googleymoogly i had some ideas on that one.
of course, they wont let us near the 'farm rescue' around here.. we keep telling 'em we'd be happy to take all those unwanted sides of bacon and soon all their troubles will be over. i think they have us on a most wanted list

This morning I climbed out of bed at 7 am . Stiff, and dreading the day ahead. I had put off all the bakeing...untill today. So, I set to it right away. Got the pumpkin pie in the oven, then headed to the barn for animal chores. My neighbor was at her back door...watching me...so I asked if I could hook up my water hose to her house, to fill the troughs. So much easier, as her house is closer to the barn than my house. So her and I set out to break the ice from the troughs, and fill them. Got them finished and came in to get the pie out. I set the timer so the oven would turn off when the time was done...so I didnt burn my pie. Got the pie out and started the Chocolate chip cookies. I was able to get 6 dozen baked, and just in time...I got a call from the gal from the rescue, they brought me ANOTHER pot belly pig. A tiny little female...maybe 2 months old. She was scared, and cold. She came from a bad situation. I have her set up in the barn with Tulip, the 10 yr old PB pig. So far they seem to get along.
Came back inside, and got cleaned up to run into town for those last minute things. People are CRAZY out there! Whew! The weatherman keeps warning of a "winter storm" so farm it seems to be missing us.
Got home, made supper...home made pizza...then baked 5 dozen butter cookies...it took me 3 hours to bake and ice them all. Im whooped! The stocking are hung...presents wrapped..goodies baked, and the ham is in the fridge. I think I am ready to get to bed...Merry Christmas everyone!
