I was coming home from the farm today, and saw someone w/a small Kubota tractor on a trailer. It was just the size I'd like to have. (Any one want to give me one? :D)

Really, I can't waite to get it. You all will be seeing LOTS of pics. :p We have been wanting to clear out part of the woods since we bought this place, and now will have a way to drag out those old trees! Woohoo! Ohhhhh, wonder if they make stump grinders that are PTO driven?? Oh, and a small hay baler!?? Wouldnt THAT be the bomb!?? My mind is whirling....
Today....weather....severe storms. UGH! I have PT later this afternoon..and I just hate driving in the rain! I hope its all over by 2:30....but I think it will be just getting here then.
I moved the baby ducks into thier outside brooder yesterday. It is fairly well protected from the elements...they still have heat lights...and the best part...NO MESS IN THE COOP! It has a wire floor, I covered half of that with veneer and shaveings. The waterer sits on the edge where the wire is...so now the mess can fall to the ground. I am headed out there to see how they faired the evening. Hope all is well.
I had one of my big old buff orps go broody on me....so I stuck 6 turkey eggs under her. :D Might as well let HER do the work! Altho, I have 12 in the incubator still. Hopeing to sell a few...butcher a few...
My Toms got into a fight and my favorite tom ( a royal Palm) has a hole in the top of his head. :( I hope he makes it...I am thinking I might butcher the big bronze tom...but he is almost 2 yrs old....and about 30 pounds. Will he be too tough to roast??
Tomorrow the PB pigs go to thier new home! WOOHOO!! I will be able to clean the barn out...I was getting all excited about haveing fresh straw in the barn....when WHAM!!! The rescue called. They have 2 more PB pigs...need fostering. These 2 are about 10 pounds. Just wee ones! Here we go again! Jeesh!
Time to get dressed and try to get animal chores done before the storms get here. They are saying a 50% chance of tornado outbreaks with this one. :hide

I have been telling all of the people around me - none of whom care - that what is really needed is a micro baler that can be pulled with a lawn tractor!!

Someone with lots of money, PLEASE fund my idea. (I even have a person who could build one!) Let's get rich together. :p

I would buy one of those.

I wish I had electricity out in my coops.

Hum......
Tanks....since my coop is so close to the shop...about 20 ft. I ran an extension cord...to a power strip, and now can plug in several things in the coop...lights, radio, fans, baby monitor...It really is handy!

GO solar! Surely someone on this board could get you set up with a solar panel and a battery system. Then you could have electricity in the coop. ;)
