Would have been fun to watch you work yesterday, Kel, but I had to catch up on work at my place while the sun shined. Still don't have everything mowed, but at least I made a huge dent in the work. It was such a beautiful day.
Well, 2 pm and the Amish lumber guys are back. I was surprised to hear them working, until I realized that they are just loading up the semi with the next load. This is the second load of lumber since they started the job.
TR is resting. We are still having problems getting acclimated to the new schedule. We are both early morning people, so now we're sleeping in until 7am. But up at 7am and in bed by 2am is not quite working out for us yet.
Our temp is 71 since the rain; heat index 76. The winds are about 20 mph, so the curtains are standing straight out at times and there is a great breeze in the house.
I didn't do dishes all week-end; so I have a ton to do. And how 2 people have so many dishes to wash, is beyond me. Okay, its not quite a ton.......it's a sinkful; might take 15 minutes to wash and dry.
Yeck with the dishes. I can do them when it rains later. I'm off to do some stuff in the yard..........
Last night my sisters called me from Lake County to warn me about the storm. But I had been watching the weather on the internet, so had already brought in the container gardens.
We had high winds, lightening, thunder, rain and hail here. The hail sounded like rocks hitting the house and windows.
I saw some dead branches have fallen out of trees next door. Although I haven't been out to check, TR said he didn't see any big damage here.
No power outages to reporrt either. But the temps dropped for sure; down to 63 after.
Hopefully, everyone is doing well and didn't have any major problems.
According to weatherbug, we're at 66 and the sun is currently making an appearance. Storms are, once more, in the forecast.
