I took Dh to his parents while I was in court. He was on so many medications that his personality was greatly altered at the time which made things more difficult. You know how they are told not to do much of any activity and the meds make them feel like they are fine...! If he were here he'd try to drive and who knows what else, so that was my best option.

I did vote in the Presidential election in November!
I have a driver's license so it's just a matter of time.

One of my friends from church just called me. Someone stole her golden retriever from her yard while she was out today. She is heart-broken because Buddy was her husbands dog and dh recently passed away.
OMG! Was he tied or electronic collar?

Oh no that's terrible! I hope she is able to get him back, and find the people who did this!

DH said a bag of AFB grew so much it opened itself during the night, and started creeping across the counter.
What, no photos?!! I would have loved to have seen that! :p

Let us know about df's dog.
I got our Golden for companionship and for alerting me to strangers, both here at home and when we are running in the parks. I have grown so fond of her that I would protect her, aggressively so! I've read in this forum of many who criticize people like me, but I think you must form a bond with a dog for the whole thing to work. I feel so badly for your friend on so many levels.

I dropped into the post office after a hike with my girl in the car, parking where I could see her through the window. As I stood in line for stamps a well dressed lady came in and asked whose dog it was. I said she was mine and the lady remarked that she was so beautiful she considered stealing her. I said that she wouldn't have gotten away with it, pointed through the window, pretending to make light of it. That had me worried that someone might not tell me their thoughts next time. Sheesh!
