I'm sorry to hear what you have to deal with. :/

I was thinking about what happened and I had to wonder if your sister accidentally sent that e-mail to everyone, rather than just to you, when she was in some weird unaccountable state of mind? Not to excuse the content of the message, but I wonder if she really meant to hit "reply to all" and cause such a scene? :hu

No, it was on purpose. Her daughter told me that my sister is jealous that I have friends and she wanted to tell them who I really was.

My close friend Sherry wrote her back and told her that my friends know me well enough not to believe what Becky said. I don't usually tell people about her, because it's just so bizarre.

She has written page after page to my parents over the years, about what bad parents they were, making up the most bizarre stuff and blaming them for it, when it was fantasy.

I appreciate you giving her the benefit of the doubt, I really do.

So she is proud enough of her actions to tell her daughter why she did it? Yikes! I'm glad that your friends are sticking up for you! :hugs

Are you sure that yours and my sisters are not related?? :p My sisters come up with some pretty wild tales also....as we were all raised very close while growing up we are all puzzled as to when these events transpired and no one else witnessed them! :idunno

Its almost as if they make all of these kind of people from the same dough, roll it out and stamp them out with the same cookie cutter!

Okay, so more drama. Not sister this time.

DGD10

So, I pick her up from school as usual yesterday, and she is walking to the car with her arms folded across her chest and her head down. Not the norm. She gets in the car and says "I need to talk about something and it is SICK." Radar is up.

We take my neighbor boy home, so when we get in the house and she tells me that they had a sub at school today. And that in the morning it was raining so they had inside recess. And the kids started playing a game called Scoops. DGD10 was on the computer during "recess" and one girl comes up and smacks her on the rear. DGD asked her why and she said "We are playing Scoops and Kick Ass." DGD started to pay attention and she learned that Scoops and Kick Ass is a "game" that involves kicking or hitting someone in the rear, OR grabbing the boobs of a girl and pushing them up, OR "scooping" a boy's genitalia. Several girls were Scooped, and one boy ended up on the floor with his legs drawn up and groaning.

Now...the worst part is that the sub was sitting at the desk watching this "game" and laughing.

DGD was just shell shocked. We called her mom at work, and she called the principal whose initial response was incredulity. Five other parents called in the next ten minutes. In the meantime, DGD and I worked on writing a statement of what happened and emailed it to my daughter, who had been talking to the principal, and she read it and emailed it to the teacher to let him know what he would be walking in to today.

Okay, so today DGD gets in the car and explodes. The regular teacher is making the entire class write apology letters to the sub for their behavior !!! The sub who, as DGD described it, was "smiling happily" the whole time.

Phone calls back and forth, and in the end we find out that the sub has been fired, not just at this school. DGD has been recognized repeatedly for good behavior throughout the year, and even this sub left notes that she was the best behaved in the class. So, after my daughter persuaded him that punishing the best kid in the class might adversely affect her, he instead asked her to write a paragraph about her summer plans.

Sidebar: DGD had already written an apology to the sub: "I am sorry that my class misbehaved while you were in Room 54 yesterday." She's no dummy !

I know that the school district fired this guy for liability reasons, and that's fine with me. He doesn't belong in a classroom.

My daughter is working on her masters in marriage and family therapy, and is doing her usual amazing job dealing with DGD's emotions and reactions.

I can't believe that he just sat there and laughed while a classroom full of 5th graders attacked each other.

That's just awful!! Props to you DGD for knowing what was right. It's a shame she had to be exposed to such unacceptable behaviors.
