Just so you know. Our guppies multiplied. We had a ten gallon tank and almost all the fish were a goner. I was so looking forward to taking it down. When I looked more closely there were about ten tiny little fish swimming along the rocks.

Hey maybe you could be a guppy farmer!!! :gig

Have a great day,
gina

Oh no! Hubby mentioned something to me about worm farming on the side last night.....boy has he come around! He's outside on the tractor right now grading the development's road (and hopefully our driveway....I moved the cars, think he'll get the hint?). It is freezing out there and he's got the lights on already. This is his last year as head of the road committee and he is determined to go out with a bang. After all the snow our roads really look awful....he's planning on digging them up with a box blade and then we have more gravel mix coming next week.

We got our VDOT permit but can't start anything yet at the new property. Still waiting on the perk test to be done.

Kids and I ate crazy for dinner tonight. I had a 4 egg omelet with a ton of ham and cheese and DD ate veggie soup with crackers while DS had oatmeal. Chad's on his own, he'll probably eat cereal.

Got to TSC today and they had sold out of rabbits and no chicks yet so I was safe! Tomorrow is cleaning day....got to clean out all the pens and replace bedding....peeeeeeyeeeewwwww. Hope it's not too cold.

Be proud of me lori.

I went to TSC yesterday to buy dog food. They had two big tanks full of new chicks. I stopped. I looked... but I left without buying. I was proud of myself! :)

I feel ya on the peeeeyeww, I'm cleaning out the animal housing tomorrow as well! Got a hardwood flooring seminar in the morning, then cleaning out the ice shed and the little goatie house, and switching the chickens into the goatie shed and the goats into the ice shed...

I AM planning on ordering some this year. I need to replace my old hennies.

I just have to control the urge until I am ACTUALLY prepared to brood some chicks. Right now with my house still upside down from my remodel - well, that is all that I need! STILL ... it was MIGHTY hard to walk out of their with no fuzzy butts! :p

I got all the feed I need for a few weeks, so I won't have an excuse to go to the feedstore and ...ummh....look at chicks...not that I'd be tempted to bring any home or anything

I know what you mean about the roads looking bad. Our community driveway has seen better days. Not to bad looking since we had a thaw in there somewhere and DH got out there and graded it. To bad all the gravel has been scraped off LOL.

DH and I have also been talking about worm farming...

DD wants a bunny for her birthday in April and I think the worm farm would be great for bunny droppings. We'll probably get some red wigglers.

I didn't go to TS today...but DH did. The report he brought back...no chicks yet. LOL

Congrats on the permit coming back so soon!!!

I have a chicken swap coming up and I desperately need to liquidate some of my male indian runners....I told hubby that I would only keep the trio of chocolates but I may try to sneak in my 2 black females in the move.....shhhhhhh....anyway, the chicken swap is bad enough cause you know everyone is going to have lots cause it is the first one of the year but what makes it worse is that IT IS AT TSC :th

I am so in trouble. :hide Hubby says he is going with me to keep me under control so I don't come home with any more species than we already have......been trying to get him to do some turkeys or a few guineas.... :hide
