Mine is much like thin yogurt....not the commercial thick crap.

Line a strainer with t shirt material and let it drain for 24 hours, should be fine. Although like BB said it may take a week or so to kick into gear.

Are you giving it a full 24 hours to culture?

Well.....maybe the third time will be the charm.

I have typed this post 3 times now and it has kicked me off line and deleted it every time I try to post.

I am ready to cry. All my test results came back "within normal limits", the washing machine is broken (stupid unicorn pillow pet), I have glue all over me (stupid kitchen table), hubby slept on the couch last night (I hate sex), it's cold, I need to go to Walmart, and the kids are fighting.

On top of all of this I got a message that my grandparents may come up to visit. Great.

All I want to do is go back to bed and stay there for like 3 days.:hit

:hugs ::hugs hugs Seemed like you could use a hug and some spares. You might take a walk somewhere pretty. It would give you a change of pace and some ME time. Sorry it has been a rough time for you lately.
Get a copy of the test results, with the actual scores. If one is close to the line, that might be worth working on.

Got an idea- There's a book called " The Edge Effect" by Dr. Eric Braverman. It has lots of good info on how the body chemistry affects emotions and tests to help figure out what you may be high or low in. He also tells what meds and what foods and supplements have the stuff that your body needs to make those hormones and neurotransmitters from. These are all chemicals that our bodies make, if they have the right stuff to do it with. You may be able to add a few things to the grocery list and be a happier woman. I have a copy of this book, but I don't let it out of my sight. The library is likely to have it, so you could probably get it that way.

saw this on my newsletter from the Charlotte Mason homeschooling site and thought I would share....

I recently attended a seminar in which the speaker grabbed a sheet of paper, drew a dot on it, and held it over his head. He asked the audience, "What do you see?" The immediate response was, "A spot."

He asked again, "No, what do you see?"

The answer, again, "A spot."

"No," he corrected. "You see a good-looking guy in a sweater, holding a piece of paper over his head. That paper just happens to have a spot on it."

When something is not the way we think it should be, it's easy to see only that spot--that fault--and ignore everything else.

So take some time today to focus on the whole person. Don't stare at the fault. Intentionally see the bigger picture. List what you are thankful for in that person. Focus on the ways he is greater--much greater--than his faults.

"Remember, no one is made up of one fault, everyone is much greater than all his faults."

My granny and papa showed up yesterday and I think Maddie is going back with them for a few days or a week. Whatever she decides. Granny went up our porch steps....first steps she's walked up since her knee replacement!!! She seems to be doing well and is in good spirits and is currently sitting in the living room watching How to Train a Dragon with Maddie on her lap :D

Had the repair man out ($75) to fix the washing machine....the pillow pet was the culprit. The stuffing had lodged in the motor and clogged up everything. After he cleaned it out I ran the load of jeans I had in there still through the rinse cycle and yep, did it again. So last night hubby had to dismantle and drain the washing machine again out on the porch and get the water hose out and flush out all the hoses and the motor again. At least now we know what to do. Lesson learned....ALWAYS watch any repair man/woman when they come to your house to fix something so YOU can do it if it ever happens again!!! ;)

Went hunting this morning and saw 2, was going to shoot one doe I saw at about 8am but bumped the edge of the tree stand with the barrel of the rifle and spooked her :he

Gonna go again this afternoon. I haven't had any bread in 2 days.....go me! Chad and I are lovey dovey again....story of my life.
