I like our bees. But for some reason we have never got honey in the year and a half we have had. :(
BUT I HOPE this year will be different. Yes its very important to have extra hives incase they swarm. Then you will lose half of your bees.

That is a great deal! I wish I had the money right now, I think I'm going to have to wait to order my bees until next fall :(

Don't order the package kits. It is cheaper to get the components separately. The only thing I may go back and get is a hood.

The first year you have bees you shouldn't expect to get honey. Reason being....they need to keep the honey in the hives to get them through the winter successfully. The second year you should be able to have enough extra to harvest some for yourself.

This gentleman we are getting the nucs from will not let them go until they have 4 full frames of brood cells. He also marks the queen. Most of the people that got bees from him last year had to put another full hive body on one month after setting everything up. His bees seem to be very healthy.

Wednesday

Lets see....babysitting again today. Baby is asleep at my feet in his carrier. Kids are eating lunch, I feel like crap.

We processed the deer last night and it took so long to get everything cut up, ground up, packaged up, put away, and cleaned up that it was late. Chad went to Dominoes and got 2 medium pizzas. I knew better but ate it anyway....:hide

I hadn't had any gluten all day and 20 minutes after I finished dinner I was asleep....at 7 pm. I usually don't go to bed until 11.

I was dizzy too. To the point of nausea. Felt like I just got off a tilt-a-whirl.

This morning....more dizziness, sluggish (couldn't get going this morning), stomach cramps, bloated (I look like I'm about 4 months preggers), and nauseous (sp?).

I am so happy to get my bloodwork done I could cry. This has to be what is wrong with me. :fl

I was gonna do more meaties today but I think I will do it tomorrow and withhold their feed. I forgot in my haziness this morning and fed them anyway :he

I need to go grocery shopping but I may go hunting this afternoon instead. I'll be out and about tomorrow early anyway so I may hit the grocery store then. Need to go to TSC too...out of wood shavings and need more layena and scratch.

I can't eat pizza either. When my family goes for pizza, most places will offer a salad as well. It isn't as fun but is a lot healthier for me. I can't have the salty stuff on TOP of the pizza, but YOU could take a little of the topping to enjoy instead of the bread. Try that next time!

The awful thing with restaurant pizza is not the grease that makes most people feel funny, but the massive amounts of extra gluten they put in the crust to get the texture they want.
And it really is huge amounts :rant
