I can't eat pizza either. When my family goes for pizza, most places will offer a salad as well. It isn't as fun but is a lot healthier for me. I can't have the salty stuff on TOP of the pizza, but YOU could take a little of the topping to enjoy instead of the bread. Try that next time!
If you are allergic to gluten, you absolutely cannot eat off the top of any kind of gluten containing food.
It will be contaminated.

I just posted in Everything Else SS section about Brushy Mtn Bee Farm. They are having a free shipping month with orders over $100. I got all of the supplies for my 2 new hives for $231.25!!!

I'm so excited :celebrate

They'll be here in 7-10 business days!

I'll order my supers and queen excluders next xmas since I won't get any honey this coming year. I plan on having 2 deep hive bodies for the bees and a super on top so I can rotate the deep hive bodies in the spring. The supers will be honey for me.

I have been told to have another hive body on hand for the package of nucs, the gentleman that got them last year said that he had to add another deep hive body after 1 month.

I'm excited!!!
I will have to read your other posting to see what you got! Congrats! I love BMF and free shipping! :D :clap

Just a thought - As a first year beek who harvest 9 pounds of honey this year - I would recommend you get a couple extra supers just in case you need them. You can't tell how the bee year is going to go. Beeks in general in NE Ohio had a tremendous honey year ...

I figured I would do that next year...get the queen excluders and supers and frames. I'll see how it goes. I do have a local feed store where I could go get them in a hurry if need be.

Oh, and Brushy mtn is quick! I got my order today!

Well, today we got up and went to the doctor for my bloodwork. I was nervous to talk to my GP about the whole gluten thing but guess what!!! Her sister is GF! She was totally easy about the whole thing. She agrees with me and suspects celiacs too. Whew.

Then went to story time, the grocery store, and then came home.

We had to process 8 more orders for meat birds today...until hubby came home with $50 and said, "nope, we gotta do 5 more and the guys at work who ordered from us before want to know if they can buy more after they ate the first one and it was so good."
:ep :celebrate

Looks like I'm destined to be a chicken farmer. Gonna need another tractor....or 2. I am trying to convince hubby to do some turkeys in time with Thanksgiving next year. He's thinking about it.... :D

Picture it.....

Clear day, beautiful weather but colder than a well diggers arse (in the 30s today)

35 meat birds rush to meet me at the door of the chicken tractor, all volunteering to "go first"

"Pick me, Pick me", they all squawked....until they got turned upside down in the killing cones....

We had 3 jump ship today....yep, pried their feet into the top of the cones and pushed their fat butts back out.

"get your a$$ back in there....." I shouted as I'm running through the brush trying to catch the now extremely winded cornish x's.

It was funny until my husband cut the head off one and it pushed it's now dead body out of the cone.....and.....wait for it......ONTO HIS HEAD. :th

The HUMANITY of it all..... I couldn't stop laughing.....God help me, I couldn't stop laughing....

By the time the first 6 were done the water was freezing on the stainless steel processing table outside, the water was freezing up in the hose, and our hands were numb. I killed the next 7 victims....my first beheading.

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and I almost forgot....how could I forget?

We got an offer on the house yesterday. Our asking price is $144,900. They offered us $120,000 and don't want to close until the end of February :he

We countered with $133,000 and their real estate agent said the most the bank would approve them for is $125,000. We told him that we would do $125,000 if THEY paid the closing costs themselves AND moved up the closing date to January.

I hate to accept this offer cause we are losing $25,000. Chad just wants to get rid of the house cause the market is so bad. This is the first offer we've had on it since it has been listed....it went on the market in Aug.

Are we doing the right thing? The money would pay off our 2 credit cards ($6000-give or take) and possibly pay off most of the remaining balance on our truck. Then we could refinance the loans from this property into a proper mortgage and save ourselves at least $800 a month. That would finish the fencing and barn for the goats and we could get them in the spring.....

Did I mention that my goat lady emailed me and said the 2 sisters I was going to buy this past summer are still available.....and PREGNANT. :celebrate Yeah, I told her I definitely wanted them but we were waiting to see if the house sold first.

Do we sell ourselves short and take the money and run or hold out for something better? :barnie

I agree. The economy is not getting better, regardless of what certain others are saying. Do what it takes to make it work.

I would think of it from the perspective of how much are you spending while you wait? ie - mortgage, insurance etc

We waited too long and lost our buyer. There are so many good deals out there and the prices keep dropping so people are reluctant to commit and banks are reluctant to lend. If you have an offer I'd take it. My friend in Real Estate tells me no one is qualifying. Of course your area could be different.

I would jump on the offer too. You are losing money every month you hold on to the house.

Love your chicken story

And so glad to hear you have hope with your doctor!
