WE GOT THE LAND!!!!!

It wasn't what we hoped for (10 acres) because FIL has borrowed money and used the land for collateral so we have to leave him enough to cover his loans. BIL has 10 acres of it and I think for now we will have 5. The plan is that when FIL sells his beach house and house he is currently living in that is also the old folks home, then he is going to pay off all the loans and split the 40 acres right down the middle between BIL and us!!! 20 acres and a pond!!! Lots of pasture but very little in the way of woods. BIL already claimed the back half of the land which is mostly wooded and has the access to the bigger pond but we really wanted the smaller front pond and spring and the pasture anyway so it works out. So this week I am headed to granny's house to get everything straight with the mover and the doublewide and Chad is going to get all the permits and perk test, well, septic, and survey taken care of this week. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Gonna call our realitor today and get everything set to put our current house on the market. Hopefully we can clear $40000-50000 when it is sold and put up a garage and small barn and fencing on the property. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. We lit a fire under FIL's butt last night and told him that the doublewide has to be moved in the next 2-3 weeks so we have to get this done yesterday. :weee I'm gonna be a farmer!!!
Whoo hoo! That is a wonderful start! Your spring and summer are gonna be busy girl! How exciting! :celebrate

Congrats.....

Lets see how your should use your land.... :p

One acre to live on, one acre for play set and garden, one acre for grapes and orchard, one acre for inland game birds, make the pond bigger and stock with fish to eat and to call ducks in the fall and charge silly money for hunters to come in and hunt as well as enjoy your new Bed and Breakfast your going to open. I can see it all now, in big lights, see your just one step closer to being SS again... Oh and the last acre is for a small barn to house cheekins, beef cow, meat goat, and your ducks.

:thumbsup
