Well.....as OFG says, it's always something.

I went to finish up the laundry this morning and started the washing machine and the water poured into the tub and directly onto the floor. :th

I'm thinking the drainage plug has worked it's way loose so all i can do is wait for Chad to get home to help me fix it.

On a lighter note....we went to the bank last night and talked with a lovely man that was a pleasure to work with and has agreed to loan us $60000 for a construction loan which will be paid off when we sell the house.

Working all these years to pay off our debt has finally paid off! We were flabbergasted when he pulled our credit scores and they were in the 800s. :ep Aside from our car ($17,000) and our credit card ($1700) all we owe on is the mortgage for our current home. To anyone that is facing debt, just keep plugging away and it will pay off!

The bank that we are working with deals with a lot of farmers so they were really helpful and offered all kinds of suggestions for expanding our farm into a business venture. I got so excited that I bought 2 books on soapmaking!!! :D

As promised, here is a pic of the land....we have 65 feet back into the tree line and 2.5 acres total. The picture does not do it justice....the house on the left is Chad's cousin's house and his brother is on the right. The pasture in the picture is actually about 7 acres. Like I said, the picture does not do it justice. The land rolls and goes up a gentle slope to the tree line. The house is going to go closer to the tree line so we'll have more pasture. The barn will go on the right.

here's our planned layout for the farm. Garage on the left, house in the middle, barn on the right, kid's playground in the back, chicken coop to the right of the barn, garden in front of the house, and pasture in front of all that.
