Don't forget the root veggies that are cheap this time of year. Rutabaga is pretty good raw. It's also great cooked. We cook it cubed, with carrots, and coursely mash them together with butter and salt.

We are always disappointed in summer when they disappear from the store. When I was in high school, they were served in the lunches like carrot sticks. All the kids gobbled them up.

I bought two b/c I thought they were kohlrabi (love raw kohlrabi with a bit of sea salt!) and got home peeled them and figured out I made a mistake!

I have one left and I'm going to peel it right now and try it raw.

They'd also be good shredded with onions and potatoes and fried like hash browns, but since this is a low carb thread :), they'd also be good doing the above with shredded Jerusalem artichokes (sunchokes). Mmmm...--rutabagas! For some reason, I cannot grow those things! They are always weird and gnarly in my garden. :idunno

Did you MEASURE and not just weigh? I can lose several inches and not lose a single pound.

Also, post a day's worth of food. It could easily be something you are missing.

I refuse to weigh. I also forgot to measure before I started this, so I'm just going on how my jeans fit. They are definitely looser all around. (And I just got them out of the dryer!)

How are your clothes fitting? Are you in that "fluffy" part of the month?

Yes, post everything you ate and drank for a couple of days. Usually when someone isn't losing, there is a glaring error in what is being taken in. Also, many people live in a state of dehydration, and when they start a proper lifestyle, their body hydrates properly right off the bat. It is a good thing, if that is the case.

Give us your list, right down to the smallest piece of gum or tictac. We will be happy to pick it apart! :D
