I've been keeping up with my workouts. Added in a floor routine to build abdominal strength and it's coming along. I cleaned up my eating and finally busted through a plateau and have hit a major weight loss goal-one I have had for years! And took an inch of my waist. :celebrate Now if I could just figure out how to sleep better...

Sat. I briskly hiked 4 miles which included stairs that kicked my arse they were so steep.

Today I hiked my favorite park's trails and I jogged up the hills. I JOGGED! I havn't done that in years! I went a full 6 miles...not my goal of 8 miles for the weekend, but I jogged part of the way...so I am not going to be too hard on myself.

One thing I have noticed lately is that I'm not as hungry as I used to be. I have cut way back on carbs (I never loved sugar, so that is a blessing) and I feel so much better!

I had a taco omelet for breakfast, I'll post in the recipe section...it was so wonderful! It was filled with the typical taco seasoned ham meat, cheddar cheese, black olives, green onions, salsa and sour cream.

I went out for breakfast (a rarity) but I know I can make it better and even more healthy than the cafe did. I didn't even miss the taco shell!

I wish!! :gig

O.k. just had time for a two and a half miler tonight. I jogged-walked it though, trying to cram more distance into 30 min.

(Made a nice bunless burger for lunch with bleu cheese cleverly stuffed inside...:drool.)

I only did another 2 1/2 miles today. Not living up to my goals these last two days!! I am dedicating two hours tomorrow for a good 8 mile brisk walk...looking forward to it.

(I am researching half marathons in my area. I am going to sign up for one in the winter. I have already been incorp. jogging into my brisk walks...so we'll see.)

I started sit ups (crunches) and push ups last night in front of the tube...no reason to just sit there!!!

I used to do 400 sit ups a day when I was in my 20's...last night I did 25. :( I also did 25 push ups--girly style!!! What happened to me!!!!

25 is good for crunches! I think 50 is a reasonable goal. Your waist will become thicker if you do too many and actually build "Ahh-nold" muscles. You can be quite strong with 50. So :clap

50 and that is it? Oh, thank GOD!!!

Crunches aren't my favorite exercise...I don't really like gettin' snorfled by St. Bernards while I'm tryin to do my crunches. There is a time and a place for everything! What is it with dogs when you get down to their level?!

If you do your crunches in sets....three sets of 15, say, with maybe 30 seconds to rest in between....you will do a nice number. Bet you can do that now if you are doing 25 all in a row.
