Today's workout consisted of me jumping out of bed in a panic because I overslept. :ep

I then killed 13 chickens, skinned and processed.

I washed a cow~vigorously, of course!

Cleaned out the chicken coop and renewed all the hay for the nesting boxes.

I will finish the day with painting the porch, a dresser and some bedsteads.

Not my usual daily power walk and crunches but effective all the same!

Bee, you make me sweat just reading about your day.

I just finished my T-Tapp workout and it woke me up enough to now go out do some serious work in the garden. Ah, it feels sooo good! I will offset all expended energy later when I dive into the apple pie my sis was kind enough to help me make. She got the pie making gene in the family.

I'm at my dads appartment in Toronto right now for the weekend (I'm supposed to be delivering resumes, but I don't want to live in Toronto during the week ;) ) so I walked from Danforth station to his appartment on Barrington (theres a hill!), I also walked to the Main Street Subway today, and then a load of walking once we got off and more walking on the way back (but, LOL, I had also just eaten a huge meal of Japanese food).

Gee, Bee..I get tired just reading about what you do! And now I am going to check into this T-Tapp I have read so much about.
I cleaned (really cleaned) house today. Made laundry soap. Cleaned out car and put emergency hurricane bags/bins in with dog/cat food, bottled water, clothes and all the emergency preparedness supplies. Since Tropical storms Ana and Bill are out there brewing we dont take any chances down here since Ike. :( And we are still cleaning up from him.
Then I will mow the lawn and sit outside to watch my chickens!

Delia, I hope you stay safe during those storms! I didn't know there were any brewing out in the gulf...gotta check out CNN!

This morning I hiked 4 1/2 miles up to the top of a small mt!!! Then had to go back down again. 9 miles total...I came home and showered and crawled into bed for a nice 2 hour nap!! (I never nap!!) That hike kicked my buns!! My friend who took me on this hike whizzed up the side of that mt. like a mt. goat--never loosing her breath! I panted and moaned while sweat poured out of my pores. Every bone and muscle in my legs burned....Then there was the view from the top--breathtaking!

The way down was a lot faster and much easier. I did slip and skin my knee, but not bad.

The best part of the day was when I dropped my friend off. She sent me home with 2 huge reusable grocery bags full of heirloom tomatoes!!!! :woot

LOL! Hey, whats sweating, moaning and a skinned knee when you get 2 bags of tomatoes at the end of the day? Geez- I would have washed her car too! :gig
The storms Ana and Bill are not yet in the Gulf, but around here after we all lost so much to Ike-we stay prepared. Claudette looks like she will be going to Florida so far. I need to go look, too. I just dont watch that much tv. Always got my head stuck in a book....:)

I have already eaten my through 1/2 of the first bag!!! :p Yes that hike and a skinned knee was definitely worth it!!

I lived in the Houston area my whole life, and it was Ike that became the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. The main reason I'm up here in the pacific northwest...far away from hurricanes!!

BBH-I know what you mean, I grew up here too. I am 20 minutes from Galveston and I lost everything but it renewed my prospective about life.
But its so beautiful where you are-and (sigh) you actually get Fall and Winter!!!! I found a firepit for free in May and have not been able to use it...too hot!
