I am glad it worked. I have some Navaho Churros I inherited and a "mutt" with great wool for spinning. I have 2 Dorpers that I just had to have when the price was right. My DD has a few Suffolks. I just love my goofy menagerie.

Deep breath taken, thanks y'all. I will take care of photos in the am. I think I got it now. Sorry for the frustration.

So... if you figure out how to extract the lanolin, you should consider selling it. People like me pay for it to lanolize wool diaper covers to make them waterproof. Lanolin is great stuff for cloth diaperers. If you do/will sell it, let me know as I'm looking for a less expensive source than Walmart for our next child.

Hmmm... My hands were soo soft after clipping her and brushing her. They smelled of lanolin too. I am going to have to research that!

(My daughter took a tuff of wool to school for show and tell. :))

Thank you to you all for helping me to become among the photo uploaders!! I feel so much better now! :bun

Thanks! I (we all do) love her. She stole our heart. When the feed store man delivered her he said she is a sweet sheep, but added, "you know they aren't that smart". I beg to differ. She is timid, but leads very well now. She stood almost perfectly still while I cut away that long wool. She picked up on our routine right away. She is also starting to baaah at us when we approach.

The thing I love about her the most is she is so gentle with the hens and bunnies. They approach her while she is taking a nap and she just lets them smell her. :love

Tomorrow's chore:
I have a bunch of livestock panels that I am going to construct into a big square under the orchard trees to put her in. I really need that grass trimmed and she is just the right size to do the job. I will be able to move her around in a more confined way, like a chicken tractor for a sheep! :D Letting her focus on smaller areas at a time. Right now the horses are helping her. It is dry enough to keep them from making big divits with their hooves. She is better at that job though, she doesn't rip the grass out by its roots like my greedy horses.

She looks very well taken care of. Most of my rescues needed lots of help. I keep getting told sheep are stupid but I think they are they are pretty smart. They know how to fly under the radar and stay out of trouble which my goats sure don't know how to do. She is very pretty.

Thank you! She wasn't a rescue per say, just found herself in a distressed situation with a divorce looming over her head. She was vet checked and passed but needed an over due hair cut!!

jambunny, I think I will be leaning on you, justusnak and Beekissed quite a bit these first few weeks. :D All tips are welcome!
