word.

you know i think i rap battled those guys once. i kicked their tailfeathers and then mopped the barn with them
;-)

"...Pimped out John Deere
Got my beatin' stick
Aint got nothin' to fear.."

they couldnt touch dat.

ha!

great work Bib - i think i saw that somewhere else. and did everyone see Roll's thread over on the herds site about the videos? i think there is a bigger movement to show real farming - not the crap they show from Big Farm about how horrible folks are to their animals.

we were talking more about this the other day - about how folks are so far removed from where their food comes from. golly. wonder what they'd say about me brooding turkeys in my shirt. i'm sure that would be some kind of abuse for sure
;-)

i'm out - tonite is supposed to be extra cold and i'm pushing to get the last few things done. i covered my beans but it blew off and i have some damage. if it can just keep them going the next week or so we'll be done. and we're still having warmish days.

and there are all these pears.... sheesh!

happy thursday everyone!!!!

Actually, I bet turkeys in your shirt would be ok. It would be keeping them in that horrible brooder that would be the problem. :p

My day sucks today. Came out this morning to some placenta hanging out of an alpaca. Looked around and no cria. Put my hand in there and felt a dead cria. The cria was so twisted up that I had to call the vet out. Luckily she was able to get the cria out without a C-section. But then had to call the owner and tell them they had a dead cria. Now I have to watch the female to make sure she passes the rest of her placenta and that all is well. Then when DH comes home, we have to give her a uterine flush. Also on antibiotics for 12 days. This is when I hate doing my alpaca birthing business.

At least the sun is shining and it isn't too cold outside.

I'm baa-ack! It has taken me all day, just to catch up with OFG's thread. Loved those ads Bib.
I got some other things done as well, you know in between reading OFG's shenannigans ;)
