I think I'll make a pumpkin pie today in honor of the festival/show that we aren't going to get out to. But there won't be any left for breakfast with all these eating machines here.

the rest of the poults seem to be doing ok. they are popping around and their poop looks better. but sheesh.. poor little guy.

I'm off to see molasses begin made today. It's an all day event and we're late because of the market this morning, but the good news is we made $128.00 off of greens, radishes, turnips and peanuts.

and i scored a few more blue pumpkins... and we also drove all over the state so we could look at.......

is she the business or WHAT. talk about a sweet little pumpkin!

the good news was that we were impressed with the momma/daddy dog and the breeder...the bad news is we woke up this morning to find that The Big Man's computer was totally belly up.

our dilemma...pup or 'puter. boo.

thanks thansk thanks... i'm hoping it will work out. i think the breeder really liked us too - so that helps. i'm hoping she will negotiate on the price.

we kinda laughed tho - they warned us up and down that the momma dog does not like people around the puppies... and i stood there and held this little lumpkins the whole time and.... momma didnt care at all. so they said something about dogs being a good judge of character. ha! if they only knew... hee hee hee

i hope it works out too... it may be not be best time financially to have a pup but its the best time of year for me to spend time with her.

and, sadly, our old lady dog isnt doing well. she fell down the stairs the other day ... then also had a bit of a seizure on a different day. and she's getting deafer by the second. she's done pretty well all these years ....but at 17 she's got a bad case of being old.

i asked our other dogs if they wanted a little sister and there was a lot of tail waggin'. and boy did i smell interesting when i got home.. lots of sniffin
