someone said that spring was a mere 70 days away.. oh man!

we're fixin' to get that bad snow barreling out of the plains AND from the south. i think we are gonna get a pounding. sheesh!

and dont tell anyone but snuggled my naked chicken in my jacket this morning. she's doing pretty well - i'm pouring on the protein to help her grow her feathers. and i put more hens in the same coop with her and my other 'detainees.' this early molt is just the dickens.

KC, i laughed at this because if i were a counselor i'd be that drill sargent guy on the geico ads and call everyone a buncha crybabies and throw the tissue box at them! ha! i'm sure tho, your daughter is loving like you are so her patients would be safe!

She'd be lovin'....I'd be like you. No sympathy for some people. She's always attracted strays, people who had no friends. Now however, she had a great bunch of friends who all help each other when help is needed.

Stay warm....I'd love to snuggle my naked chicken - she screamed bloody murder yesterday when I caught her. At least she has a few more feathers than she did.

well. "its" here. The White Death is upon us. been snowing all screamin' day and no one is happy about it. at all. least of all me.

well maybe SKR8PN is happy but lets face it, that guy is crazy or something.

anyway. snow snow snow snow and more snow.

TBM had to take his mother to the airport this morning. i stayed to do chores but he has promised to take me into civilization later in the week to go to Trader Joes and all those important places. we're glad he got back when he did. i havent heard the plows and the roads are getting worse. they finally let the schools out the our Good Neighbor and her kids are safe at home.

the dogs and i have been out romping around in the snow. dear little Kai lost her first tooth and we are very proud of her. but she got a scolding today for catching one of my little duck hens. i'm not sure she was aiming to kill that little duck she just grabbed her.

however.

she got a scolding and a scruff shaking (not hard) and i snatched her up by her handle.. i mean.. harness and marched her right over to her naughty spot and she had to sit there on a short leash while the good dogs got to play. she has the saddest little thing ever.

but the good news i that she is getting it. so just patience, persistence, and predictable results. (slight of hand and redirection work with her too "look! a stick!").

i have a feeling little Kai and OD are gonna tango one of these days... THAT will be something to write about for sure.

other than that - everyone is happy.

i'm by the fire fixin to watch the rest of edwardian farm.

Sounds like your day is going well. I'm not getting these schools in the state that canceled before the snow even started Our road is clear as of now.
Do you go to the TJ's on Sawmill? I wish there was one on the west side of town here. Do you ever go to the Anderson's? Luv that place!

yeah we laughed at that... not even one flake and they already called it. ha! actually i guess they figure they have the snow days and why waste the gas on the buses? do they even have school buses anymore?

there's a TJ's Easton by the airport - we go there. and yep i LOVE the andersons! what a wacky store.... but they do have everything.

the last time we hauled it all the way to easton the TJ's was OUT of $2 Chuck! i was shattered....

so i'm out of cheap booze and my chocolate supplies are running dangerously low. and its still snowing. stupid snow. boo!

Ah, Easton. I forgot about that one. My sis lives over there but I don't get out there much. Hopefully they are well stocked this time! Last time I went they were out of my coffee I just stood there shell shocked because I didn't know what else to do.
