ha! thats what i did in front of the wine section! then i stomped over and grabbed a manager and demanded to know what they were gonna do about it!!?!?!

my poor hubby was so embarrassed by the time i was at the top of my rant... and then i told the mgr i was gonna lay down in the middle of the store and cry with grief.... she laughed.

and then when we were checking out she grabbed my arm (hey lady!) and presented The Very Last Bottle...that someone had just returned to the shelf! she thought i was so funny she wanted me to have it. yay!

It didn't start snowing her till 12:50pm. But it is snowing pretty good now. From what they say on the news report, it isn't going to be as bad as other places. They are predicting 5-8 inches between today and tomorrow here. As long as it doesn't get windy, that should be easy to snowblow and plow. Just put the truck in 4 wheel drive and move along!

Got the chores done before the snow so all the goaties and alpacas are snug and ready.

You have Trader Joe's out there? Don't you love that store? I have to be careful not to stay too long or else I buy stuff.....

I worked across the street from the first Trader Joe store in Culver City, CA, back in the 70s. It was called Trader Joes Pronto Market. They featured a local natural dairy that had great milk products and it kind of mushroomed from there. I'm showing my age here.

Some items from there are awful expensive though! But their wine prices can't be beat, not that I drink anymore. But I always shop for my family members there!

we are heading out to snug everyone in here too. but it still snowing. boo!

We got about 6 inches here. My Speagle Beagle goes out and squats and her tush is setting on top of the snow. She doesn't seem to care - always does her walkabout before she comes back in.

New use for bacon fat alert!
So I was making popcorn for the kids and I noticed my little dish of bacon fat sitting by the stovetop...*eureka!* Yes, I did it. Drizzled my popcorn with bacon drippings. Mmmm, bacon flavored popcorn.

It was smokey like bacon. It had the essence of bacon, but not the taste of bacon. Hard to describe really.

OFG, you need to jump on the winemaking bandwagon! It is at least as cheap as Two Buck Chuck, and often less!

My wine collector friends said my first and only wine that we bottled so far aged quite nicely and was quite a nice wine! These are the ones who sold part of their collection through Sotheby's! A small part! I don't even like wine, so I can't tell you what it is like. We have one bottle left, of 26. And the next oldest batch is still a couple months away from bottling.

But....once it starts coming in, as long as I keep making new batches, we will be independent of TBC forevermore!

If I can do it, anyone can.

I am seriously considering some bacon popcorn tonight....
