Shamise is doing just fine. Doesn't look like she will birth today. I did notice another one of my girls that may be further along than I thought. I will have to give her a CDT and BoSe shot either today or tomorrow. So now I have 2 that I'm watching closely.

Hubby has been trying his hand at wine for a bit now that he has beer under his belt. He got a hygrometer for Christmas that should really help. That gizmo measures the specific gravity of a liquid (tells you how much sugar is present so you can figure how much to add. ) Really easy.
Some people even use a five gallon bucket with a Gamma Seal lid and an airlock to brew in. I just gently stew the fruit in a kettle and then drain using a jelly bag to extract the juice - like you would do making jelly. Wine can make use of fruit that is too "over the top" for other uses.
