I just ordered some Molly's Herbal wormer for my girls. They look pretty good but I think they need to be on a "regimen" and I noticed that their gums are a little pale. My one milker has dropped a little in production and I'm pretty sure I saw a worm today on her :sick

I've never wormed them since getting them in May so I figure it's about time I got them on the program and I've heard good things about Molly's. What are you using?

We have ZERO storage space!! barnie Having NO storage space leads to a lot of stress too because I swear everything is always sitting out and there is just no place to hide stuff
I SO understand. I have resorted to only buying furniture that has storage capacity.

DH and 3 of the boys cleaned out my BIL/SIL's horse barn today. BIL TOLD his wife (SIL) that she was to pay us! :gig DH gets there and she asks if she could work out a deal for her to give the kids horse riding lessons or something in trade for payment!! UH.....NO!!! BIL originally called Sunday and DH told him me and the boys would go over on Monday to clean the barn! The boys had band so I told DH Monday afternoon that he had to call his brother and tell him we were not coming.
DH was to borrow his brother's truck for the whole weekend to haul wood with. DH got his truck and it was on E!! DH filled it up and it cost $80!!! :th Two trips back and forth from BIL's to our house on OUR gas was to haul BIL's horse manure!! After DH was done loading the second load and cleaned their barn out real nice she DID NOT pay him!! He told me he would just take it up with his brother. Hmm...and that is why I do not go over shovel horse manure for my SIL anymore! I also told DH he needs to take his brother's truck back on E too!!

6 yo DD has a sleep over at church tonight for Missionette's so I volunteered to stay the night to be one of the chaperon's. :smack What was I thinking???

DH and the boys are going to be spending the weekend hauling wood. They are going to try and get at least one load tonight and hopefully they can get a couple loads tomorrow. We spent the summer cutting and stacking wood at his MIL's last summer so all he has to do is go get it.

DH talked to his brother. I guess SIL complained because DH did most of the work and the boys were playing around. DH says they worked...shoveling and the wheel barrow until his OCD kicked in and he did finishing touches while the kids pet the horses with SIL. :idunno I told DH I was not going back over because of crap like this. The work was DONE! What does it matter who DID the work??? They deserve to get paid! DH worked out a deal with BIL that HE would go over with the boys on Sunday evenings and clean the barn out for $25 a week. Hmmm...wonder how long that is going to last?? We will be on vacation next Sunday! LOL!

The girls sleepover last night was not to bad. I left at 9PM...ok I intended to leave at 9PPM to go home to milk and feed! On my way out of the church I ran into a lady I graduated high school with and we ended up talking for an hour!! So my poor goaties were waiting on me. I MADE my 6yo DD participate in the Talent Contest last night. I had her stand up and then I asked her about our goats so she could teach the other girls. Her teacher was also kind enough to ask her questions and a couple of the girls asked questions too. She did not want to do it and was very shy about it. Then two girls went after her and she turned to me and said "Mom, I did way better than them!" 3 out of the five groups...2 girls, 3 girls, 3 girls in each group...just got up and totally fooled around and giggled and just kept saying "You go first." And didn't really do anything. The girl that won wrote out a paragraph on a piece of paper and read it about how she made a guitar out of cardboard and then showed the group the guitar. I was very proud of my DD because I think that even though she did not want to do it she did and then after it was all done she knew that she really did do a good job and hopefully it will give her more confidence to do something again in the future.

DH is hauling more wood today. He ended up with two truck loads of horse manure and a truck load plus the trailer full of wood yesterday. They unloaded the wood this morning and he is hoping to get two loads (truck and trailer full) done today. I debating on taking a nap today but so far am not to tired. DD has been sleeping since we got home! LOL!

Well, DH only got $25 for cleaning out their barn and he returned his truck with a little over a quarter of a tank of gas...so I would call it all a wash. BUT...I do have a HUGE stack of wood out there that should last most if not all of the winter! I still have 8 bundles of wood scheduled to come in 3 weeks.
Today I am canning spaghetti sauce. I am also going to try my hand at some sweet relish and some hot pepper relish for the first time. I also have a 5 gallon bucket full of beans waiting on me to get done! Plus we have some school work to get done!

I get to work this weekend! YAY! I am supposed to get 28 hours! Then on Tuesday we are going on vacation! I am really looking forward to being out of the house and not thinking about school starting, laundry, canning, house cleaning etc! I am looking forward to just watching my kids play and riding our bikes and swimming and hiking and stuff!

My mom earned enough with her Swagbucks to get an Accuquilt Go Baby! For FREE!

I earned enough to get 3 die cuts to go with it...for FREE with Swagbucks ! I am getting the Diamond , Sunbonnet Sue , and Squares and triangles set !

I want to use the die cutters on scrap pieces of fabric that I cut out from clothes to make quilts! I want to use extra plaid shirts that the boys have stained or outgrown! I also want to use it on the clothes that baby girl has outgrown to make a baby quilt for her. I am also going to look for plaid shirts at $1 a bag rummage sales to use. I am so excited to get this new 'toy' and that it is FREE!

5 HALF gallon jars and one pint of spaghetti sauce canned up! I went through the two boxes of clothes a friend gave me and there was several really nice pairs of jeans for the boys, several nice shirts, and lots of tshirts. There was also a couple of shirts in there that I am going to add to my 'cut it up' collection! LOL! It is hard to not see EVERY piece of clothing as a possible quilt or bag! There sure is a LOT of beautiful upcycled quilts online that just gets my imagination going all the more!

I have a million things to get done....canning and school work... before I can even think about breaking the sewing machine out....sigh...

12 quarts of green beans done! I think that is 21 quarts in total for green beans so far. There is probably more out there ready to be picked too. I am hoping for 100 quarts of green beans but it may just be to late in the year to hope for that many. Ok, 52 quarts would be good. For my first time every growing beans I am pretty happy with the results. So beans are definitely a mainstay in the garden from now on.

Where do you get all that energy Pam? LOL! You get so much done in a day...lately I can't think far enough to even plan a day...fall is here and I always so die in the fall... spring is more me...
But...at the same time, the itch to start sewing again is coming back around, been working on an autum tablecloth for out table, and then later going to do a winter theed one...before I get into the quilt orders i have lined up for this fall. I really need a warm up before I start playing with customers things! Can't wait to see the things you come up with Pam!

If I had my choice the sewing would always come first. Not so around here either. :(

So do you suffer from Canning Shoulder like I do??? :p I feel as if I have lifted a million jars by now. Up donw up down. Uggg... :th

yesterday and today I processed another 40 or 50 lbs of tomatoes. Went for diced tomatoes this time and the softer ones went to sauce today.

I normally grow bush beans but I tell ya pole beans have changed my life. :D I have had so many pole beans so far. All from 1 plant I don't remember planting. So I put in another batch. It's a different pole bean but dong well. I am going to let all the last beans on the first plant over grow and dry. That's one plant I want to grow again. If that made sense. :p

I planted a row of yellow wax bush and green bean bush and they did not do no where near what the pole beans did!! I am a pole bean lover now! I don't think I will ever plant bush again! I'm searching out pole yellow wax beans now! There is a MILLION blossoms out there on my pole beans! I am just hoping the frost holds off so that I can get a TON more beans! We just picked another 4-5 quarts worth of beans that I will need to get done up. I really like the feeling of adding beans as one of the pantry items that I can produce myself that I can feed my family with. I think if we add one more row of beans to the garden next year to make 4 rows and have them all as pole beans I think I will definitely have enough beans to make a years worth of meals having them either once or twice a week.
My potatoes were pretty much a flop this year. I think that is because we dug up a new section of the yard and there just was not enough nutrients in it. But we will be putting lots of rabbit and horse poo in it so I am hoping for a big difference next year. Last year I put up enough spaghetti sauce to last us an entire year and I am hoping that I can do the same this year. I have put up enough pickles to last us a year so far and I am hoping to put up enough relish too.
We did not get any corn like we have the last several years which was VERY disappointing! :( I am hoping the person that usually gives us the corn still gives us some apples and I am really hoping for some pears this year.
I have been using some of my Tattler lids so I feel like the food is FREE because I earned 7 dozen lids for free! I have been given several of my canning jars or I have gotten some really good deals at garage sales and they are already 'paid for'....so it feels like the food is now free. Even though it is really not but it sure feels like it! And I LOVE seeing all of the homegrown food sitting on the shelves! I just wish I had a big farm so I could grow ALL of my own food! Someday.......

All of my creepy meets are growing and doing good! They have not hit the creepy stage...yet!

Oh, and no canning shoulder just what seems like osteoarthritis that I have been battling for a year now.
