I've been thinkin about getting a permit myself. DH already has one. I'm here alone most days and in the garden and greenhouse alot.

Last week, while my neice & her DH were here, a young man (early 20ish) came walking up to the garden. It was a really hot day, said he had been running, got lost and wanted a drink of water. DH was in the house so I called him, asked him to bring a glass of ice water and stick his gun in his pocket (you never know).

Turns out, the kid lives a few county roads over (makes me wonder how he "got lost"). He called a couple of people to come pick him up but they weren't home. DH didn't want him hanging around so he took him home and dropped him off at his mailbox.

The kid was trying to get into shape for the military. On the way home, he asked DH if he thought a Class 1 Felony (theft over $1,000) would count against him. YIKES & DOUBLE YIKES!!

As far as I know...at least in Ohio...you do not need a perrmit to carry and even open carry on your own property. My class does not start until May 19th. DH is taking his class at church. I am taking my class through the local Rod and Gun club. My class is an 8 week course where we get to shoot like 50 rounds each night. My holster will not be in until May 19th...then I plan on wearing mine around the house at least until I get used to wearing it.

I just did an hour on the Wii fit.
I had a softball game today. Ugh! The coach is so unorganized! He really takes a lot of the fun out of it! We had 6 extra players today!! I got to bat one time! I got to play at second base one time.
Tomorrow is my weight loss challenge class. I am hoping I lost some weight this week!
I have enough $$ in my paypal account from selling eggs that I am thinking about getting the Your Baby Can Read program. It is $200. But I thought about trying to get the main things I want off ebay so that might put it down around $100.

Had my weight loss challenge class this morning and I lost 1.4 pounds this week for a total of 8.0 pounds in 4 weeks.
My mom gained a pound this week. I think she has lost only like 3 pounds or something so far. She had lost 70 pounds in the previous two challenges.

I am seriously considering dropping out of softball. I just walk away so irratated and it takes me a long while to get over it. I think I am going to see how the next game goes and if I still feel the same way I am just going to stop playing.

I hear you on the softball thing. Its suppose to be fun. If its not fun fine something else that you enjoy to do with your time unless you are getting paid for it. Then its called work and its not suppose to be fun. LOL

Congrats on the weight loss. Just keep on slow and easy. I think thats the best way. To much to fast and it seems to come back faster than it went away. And even though your mom is not moving as fast in the weight loss right now, she did drop a lot quickly in the beginning. Tell her just to hang in there and reach her goal.

I miss playing softball! These women would freak out if someone would suggest a women's softball team and league. Back home, ours was getting a little too intense and it ceased to be as fun, so everyone sort of drifted away.

I miss the days when kids and adults would get together in the neighborhood and have a softball, whiffle ball, or baseball game....those were the funnest times and I wish my own kids could have experienced it.

I did enjoy the last softball practice. Everyone got to hit like 40 times and play whatever position they wanted too.

I just hate the fact that if I say anything about the unfairness that is going on then I am just whining and causing trouble. Ron will not listen to a word I say.
5 guys did not sit out at all. 3 people got to play that did not show up to any of the practices. There was 6 extra people at the game...2 ended up leaving after the first inning because it was pretty clear that they were not going to get much if any play time. I was originally told that I was going to play third base but then at the last minute the person who had played third base during practices showed up and I got sent out to right field. Then he missed like 5 balls in row so one of the older guys just took over his position and then he had to set the bench the rest of the time...so he only played there like two innings. He is 14 years old. A lady who only came to one practice and is no where near as good as I am I got to play second base two innings!
I am sick of feeling so frustrated at the games and once I get home. It just seems to aggrivate me for a long time afterwards and I am begining to think it is not worth the stress. Oh yeah and we lost 0-10!!
