oh i did, i made it very clear to themi would be advertising the bunnies and would not hold wihtout a deposit, if someone came along prior to their pick up i ould have no problem selling them...
i do have deposit policy no holds wihtout one and a "boarding fee" for people who want one but cant pit up until such and such...

The problem with this litter is there has been little-no interest...i think timing just sucks, this litter became ready a week before school vacation started and its memorial day weekend, so im hoping the lack of interest is just people not wanting a new pet untill after the holiday weekend as im sure thats when many will take vacation time ect...so im hoping that after this holiday weekend things will start to pick back up again
i had deposits on Bluebells last litter the day they turned 4 weeks lol. and pick up at 6 weeks give or take a day. lol. they sold like hotcakes.

The 5 survivers seem to be doing fine today (and it was hotter today then yesterday but there also in the larger hutch...)
did almost loose one of bluebells babies, managed to escape and squeeze through the wire and was on the gorund under the hutch, i count a couple times a day this early on 1: becausei know bluebell will let me, and 2: to make sure they get handled from day one and i counted 6, checked 6 times still 6, freeked out fr a few mins and thought "I onder" and yup there on the ground...there mobile! lol. so i put a stopper acoss the box opening, bluebell can still get out but it shoul keep the babies contained untll there too big to fit through the wire.
Tomorrow is set to be hotter than today so im going to be on extra diligence with eveyrone and ice and water checks ect.

anywho.

mum and dad got here fine, so did dads friend charlie, (hes just up for today and tomorrow, leaving early monday), tomorrow the current plan is to get up, il get the critters sotretd, then bacon and eggs for breakfast, after breakfast were going to head down t crump check out the fleamarket there, mabe take a trip into savannah, and then stop in adamsville for the "festival" on sunday. not entirely sure what, if anthing is going on there tomorrow, but it seemed something we could do, local, simple, no cost to get in ect. Might stop somewhere in savannah for lunch...gonna do a quick look into that now.

so far so good...but all the cleaning and such, and the house already looks like a disaster zone lol

well today is pretty brutal heat wise 97 buns arnt happy but have made it through the worse of the day

got up this mornign and holly had delivered...she wasnt due untill 5/30...so 3 days early... 4 babbits, unfortunatly all dead and placentas still attatched, no nest, no fur pulled, pile of hay i put in happily being munched in, i rubbed them a couple of times but no responce, they looked fully formed and healthy, BUT im not sure if babits born 3 days early would have been properly formed, bunnies grow so fast fomr conception to birth, 3 days could make a huge difference. she was a first time momma, so im a little dissapointed BUT wasnt expecting much...hazel is due on tuesday, hazel is also a first timer...we'll see. she has hay and ive noticed some fur in her cage.

ill put holly back in with thistle next weekend, (temps are supposed to go down a little)

might have someone commng this evening or tomorrow to buy a babbit...

worried about bluebell in the heat, shes the one that seems to have the hardest time with the heat.
got to pull the freezer out some and turn the temperature down, even that seems to be struggling in this heat, its taking forever to freeze the bottles back up...theres ice inside so its working, i think its just having a tough time...

anywho.
had a good morning, ended up going to the crump market, which dad was acutlaly quite happy about, hes realy looking forward to the ripley market next wekend (and the temps are upposed to be in the 70's that day so YAY for a more comfortable day for wandering)
we then whent down to pickwick where he got to see the Pickwick dam and more of the river and hes pretty much in love! so i think if they do end up lookign to move (job dependant obviously) dad would be quite happy. stopped at a little place for lunch, i ordered off the kids menu, mum had her obligatory breakfast (it can be 8pm and if were out she orders breakfast lol) dad had 1/2 a southwestern omlet which he throughly enjoyed...it was a lovely ride.

yay on the runners, there such funny ducks!

dads frined charlie came down on saturday and left this monring so he could spend some time (he movd to indianna so when dad asked if he could come for a few days (6 hour drive one way) i couldt say no...but illbe honest, the guy drives me nuts, he leaves doors open, lights on, toilet seat up, always has a comment about how his preference is better (like talking about how my fridge (which i LOVE) needs to have a french dors (i hate french door fdiges, i prefer 1 big door) and how top freezers are beter...blink blink...i couldnt fit 1/2 the stuff i have in my current freezer in a top mount freezer, the pull out baskets are heaven sent for that, id never be able to keep that much stuff in and acessable trying to stack it in a top mount...) he broke one of the gates, (dads going to try and fix it for me)...
ans i let him have the futon so ive been sleeping on the chair and ottoman, which, while comfy, wasnt rely ideal because at 5am he as up moing around turning lights on ect so...
but hes gone now so now i have about 2 weeks with my parents :)

not sure whats going on today, mum wants to head to the store to get some bits so in trying to figure out if theres anything going on in selmer or jackson to decide which direction were heading.
Want to take them to Ada's country store (dad wants spices) but not sure if they wil be open today given its memorial day so im going to see if i can find thier number and call.

sent one of the bunnies home yesterday, so now ive got 4 babies left to send to homes. gotta send out some emails today and see if i can get responce...
going to renew the craiglsist add too.

yeasterdays bunny whent home to be a house bunny/pet to a young and very sweet little boy who just lost his pet duck :( his mum said if hes still doing a good job in a month with "buddie" (aparently spelt ie because shes a girl lol) then they might come back to get buddie a buddy! lol.
those are the families i live to see taking these babies :D they were inlove with bigwig too.

anywho. off go, will probably check in again later.
dads aking a nap and then were probably going to get some stuff done :)

well this morning gave us a wake up thunderstorm and mini rex babits. Hazel delivered 9....yes 9 babbits. unfortunatly she didnt build a nest or pull fur and had them all on the floor of the cage where thanks to a downpour they all got wet.
we managed to revive 4 of the 9, 2 are a good size, 2 are small, got them dry warmed up and in a hay nest in her box once they were properly warm put them out with her, now its just wait and see, if i have to theres not much time between bluebell and this litter so bluebell might foster them, but id rahter avoid it a shes currently got 7 in her box.

Ill be impressed if we get 2 out of 4 to maturity...we'll see.

but 9 babbits, thats insane for a mini rex!

anywho...todays ogt some plans going on in terms of measuring up anda trip to lowes, they want to put in some shelves in the laundry room for me, and measure up and price up for the kitche floor and steps for the back deck. dad belives he can fix the back door with no problems so YAY there...
now im just trying to figure out what if anything extra we can do while up neer jackson to make it more of a trip than just going shopping lol.

well today was Seriously productive...
dad fixed my back door...it no longer sticks.
he also instaled some steps off the back deck
AND we sorted out the water acess issue in the laundry room so now i also have a hose pipe acess outside! *dances*
he also got my wireless up and running :D

hes also decided that he'll be replacing the ceiling fan in the livingroom, moving the current livingroom fan into my bedroom, and moving my bedroom light into the kitchen.
and hes planning on putting in a vent fan inthe bathroom to help with the humidity.

borrowed a ladder from the neighbor so he can get that stuff done.

right now planning on going out to look at a few houses tomorrow...
may be going out again on friday, but it depends on what dad wants to do.
Saturday is the market, sunday were going out for a horse ride, next week we'll be finnishing out some projects, ive got to take mum out when i do my grocery/critter feed shop next week too...
its going to by realy fast.

bluebells babies are doing very well, looks like ive got a black otter, a broken black otter, 3 broken castors and 2 in the blue/opal/chin/chocolate type range. i think one if going to be a broken blue chin and the other is either going to be a chocolate or a dark chin...its not quite dark enough to be black, but not light enough to be the same color as silver lol...

ducks and geese got a new "pond" today (kiddy pool) they were LOVING it...and now i have hose acess its going to be sooo much easier to fill :)

dad also agrees that a 50ft roll of the welded wire fence some clips and a coupe of t-posts would bemy best bet for making a portable pen untill i can fence in the back "eventually an orchard" area.
so that looks like a june project. (portable) and then the rest of the fencing will ome month by month as i can afford, about 100ft at a time.
