Sounds like he's just what you need. Hope he adjusts to being out in public soon, but he's still a pup. If I remember correctly, they have the seeing eye dogs w/a foster family until they're 18 months old B4 B4 they even start to train them. And, he's much younger than that, so he's doing good.

yeah he wont be a year untill october 1st, i think im just not used to having a dog whos so into people, All my adult life dogs have been standoffish with strangers as part of their general nature, chihuhuas, Cresties, there both naturally warey of strangers, and then working with resuce great danes i tended to get the ones that werealso a little shy with new people, so having a dog that WANTS to say hello to EVERYONE is kind of odd lol
i also, like everyone else, forget that he is still a doofy puppy...hes just so big lol.

well im feeling a little better this morning, going to put a call in to the dr after breakfast and see what they say...
got the bunny hutches cleaned out though :celebrate ive been putting that off for much too long as i couldnt afford the shavings, and whew, those boxes were selly when i disturbed them to dump them. so everyone got their boxes crubbed out and rinsed, fresh shavings and a little DE and their hutches swept out. thelly get a good scub down when i do the boxes next, too.
its realy sticky outside though, not hot, but the humidity is up and the sky is grey and cloudy...hoping it storms good and proper today and gets it all out of its system so tomorrow is a nice weather day...doesnt need to be sunny, but idapreciate under 95 and lower humidity if at all possible lol.

part of todays to-do list is to prep food for tomorrow and pack all non perishables into my little backpack, charge the camera battery too and get that put in the backpack, put my cellphone in ect.
ive got 64 floz of liquid to pack (one of which is 32oz frozen which will act as an ice pack too.) and yeah...

ive also got to head to the post office to mail out my waterbill and into town to pay my gas bill (i hate that they charge you even when your NOT using any *grr*)
need to pick up some groceries for jack jack, but otherwise im all set i think.
getting excited and nervous for tomorrow lol.

well...THAT was a long afternoon...
my apointent was at 1:30, didnt get out of there untill 4pm, its now 5:15 and i just got home as i had to go get my perscription...

did an EKG and Tilt Test, heart is irrgeular (already knew that) but more so than usual, however bloodpressue is perfect so he doesnt think its my heart causing the dizzy spells.
so he pulled FULL labs...13 vials of blood...even the phlebotomist was a little concerned about that...but i told her go ahead and he brought in 2oz of OJ as a just in case (i cant have more than that because it sends my sugars all yicky lol)
i was fine, vein held out for the whole thing (thank goodness for someone who listens, i told her which vein was most likely to behave and she used it and it did. she did say this was her biggest blood draw ever though and shes been doing this 10 yrs...
hes checking everyhting form B's and D's to Iron and a bunch of stuff im not even sure of.
get to go back to him in 5 days to go over the result, but ill get a call before then is theres somethign realy funky going on ect...

he also told me to call the insurance company and find out what they need form him to support the plastics, he wasnt happy with how raw my "folds" look right now, told him im using the cream and using a hair dryer after howers to make sure im dry using baby powder ect but i just cant keep it cool and dry where the skin hangs over itself...so he thinks i need to start persuing getting the skin removal aproved now (since it takes so long) as hes worried about the likelyhood for infection, especially given i have livestock, and thats not in an anti livestock kind of way, just a, im more likely to be exposed to dirt and bacteria than someone with a desk job...
Gave me ascript for a stronger cream to help with the skin, and a scipt for something to help me actually sleep through the night instead of continually waking up.

the dry skin on my hands he things ismy exema playing up but hes going to wait to see what the blood tests show before going further with that...

and i got home, got he dogs out for a pitty break, came in and no soner did i close the back oor...it started raining...Nothing huge, barely enough to even make the ground look wet...but still talk about timing LOL.

Wow sis, you've had yourself a nice long day! I hope it's nothing serious, maybe just a vitamin deficiency somewhere from the weight loss and your body hasn't quite caught up to it yet ;) Keep us posted! :hugs

i sure its nothing serious, i think its just life getting ontop of me...

im REALY proud of myself tonight...
and im seriously looking forward to food tomorrow LOL!

i made roasted garlic quinoa salad (cooked the quinoa in water with a splash of orange juice and a dash of worstershire sauce and minced garlic, once cooked, let cook, add diced bell pepper and tomatoe.

i made HOME MADE from scratch Orange sauce...or at least my take on it...and it turned out amazingly...not chinese realy...but...NOM.
orange juice and water (1/2 and 1/2) with a dash of worstershire sauce, and a splash of apple cider vinegar...bring to a boil then added garlic powder, spring onion and i used a little bit of splenda/brown sugar mix...but brown sugar, white sugar or honey would work too, ad a little stirr and TASTE and ust add till its a taste you like...it only took a teaspoon of the splenda brown sugar blend for me, just enough sweetness to take the bitter off the orange juice, i didnt want it overwhelmingly sweet. (this sauce is also why i added a spash of OJ to the quinoa cooking water) bring back to a boil stiring well to belnd the sugar, then allow to cool a little then add cornstart and bring it back up to a gentle boil STIRRING CONSTANTLY...untill you get to a nice thick ooey gey dipping sauce type consistency.
OMG this stuff is delicious.

chicken thighs i peel the skin almost completly off, season with salt pepper, lemon and orange zest and lemon juice, then i stick the skin back on and season that with sale and pepper too...i dont actually eat the skin, but it holds the moisture in...
bake in the oven untill done.
the chicken is set aside to cool and will be pulled apart and put ontop of the quinoa salad once cool, ive set aside the orange sauce as a drizzle/dipping sauce that way i can control how much i want.

side is a picked egg

desert is watermellon strawberry and grapes in a fruit salad.

ive also got hummus and pita chips and a bananna to go in :D
going to pack my lunchbag tonight and put it in the fridge packed then all i have to do in the morning is load it into my backpack. :)
im realy excited.

OMG what a long tirng but good day

got ut of the house right when i wanted to, long but easy drive, hit a little traffic at memphis but otherwise quite.
Memphis is odd...the area the clinic is in is less than 10 mins form the area the zoo is in...the cliic area, run down, rough, and honetly not a place id personally want to be late at night...
the area just down the street from it and around the zoo itself howevr STUNNIGN, big old well keps historic homes, treelines streets, beautifully kept gardens...absolutly gorgresou...always amazes me when there such a thin line between millionair row and Skidd row...
got dozer and willow dropped off, everyone was inlove with dozer who aparently cant go anywhere without making friends lol.

from there off to the zoo.
memphis zoo isnt that big, thier entire full walk trail round the main exhibits is 2 miles, but by the time id done the circuit plus the siade paths in the exhibit, plus some back and forth to shows i managed to log 7 miles today...(i ACHE lol)
its a nice zoo though, nicely layed out, good acess to exhbits and the exhibits themselves are nicely done.
ended up having my lunch in the primate canyon...i ate and sat watching the gorillas...
after lunch i finnihsed the loop before setting down to catch some shows, caught the sealions, the grizzly and polar bear feedings, elephant feeding and the big cat talk.
i have to say while the bears arnt my fave animals at the zoo, the bear eeding was AWESOME. they have a pool and an "under water" (the waters about 4ft deep) veiwing area, the feeding is done in the pool so the bears at literally inches from your face...same with the polar bear...SERSIOULSY coolness

ill post pictures a little later i promise :)

got the call about 3:45 that dozer and willow both came through surgery perfeclty fine and were fully "recovered" and ready for pick up early if i wanted and i figurd since id seen all the exhibits caught the shows i wanted to and checked out the gift shop (didnt buy anythgin) i could call it a day.

picked them up...great group of people, everyone was going on about how much they love dozey and how much of a goofball he is...said even as he was comming out of nesthesia he was trying to give everyone kisses lol they also commented on how theyve never met a cat as quiet as willow...i told them its because shes been mewoing so much for food the past 2 weeks shes finally lost her voice (whihc is true lol)
loaded everyone into the car
stopped for gas...

got hit on by a guy at the slightly scary gas station...

got more compliments on dozer fomr a couple who HAD to tell me how gorgeous he is, and then tell me to get the heck out of the area before it got dark cause its "scary" and "this city with kill you" so we got motoring.

drive home was touch and go in the beginning, hit some snags on the I40 out of memphs and then again in one of the towns on rt64, a car had decided it was going to take out a stop sign and for whatever reason that meant 6 cop cars, 2 fire and 2 ambulance (for 1 car and a stop sign) and shutting down a 4 lane road for almost 45 mins...
once we got past that snag though it was smooth sailing home.

As supsected, let willow out of her carrier she came out purring gave her a fuss, she ate and is perfectly fine...
Dozer however is lay on the floor squeeking because hes in agony...
(they both got pain shots...) ive no doubt hes sore...but it always makes me laugh shen a female comes through a much more involved and painfull spay surgery and is "fine" afterwards, yet a male is drama queen central...lol
either way, right now hes not bothering the insicion site (glue thak goodness) so no cone of shame but that could change as the pain meds wear off and the dopey after anesthesia wears off too.

anywho.
was overall a great day for me...dozers none too happy but hell get over it...
got to go out, feed and put everyone to bed and then time for supper (sausage and salad)
then a muscle relaxant and picture uplaods and veyr likely...and early bedtime...SOOOO tired and achey. though the drive did more damage to my back than the walking did.

My poor beautiful furry boy!!! Him got snippy snippy :( Is he really being that much of a sissy?

Glad you enjoyed the zoo...yeah that area around there can be rough, just NEVER EVER go down Lamar Avenue...EVER. If you get on it by mistake, SPEED until you find civilization. Sreiously, the place looks like pics of some of the slums in war torn Iraq!
