me either lol.

in other news, guinea fowl are super dumb...its chilly its WET and they are out and about SOAKED wet through and rather than seeking shelter under he car port, or in one of the many sheltered spots around here (or simply going back to thier house) they just keep wandering roud looking like drowned rats. i was going to keep them locked in today, and i think i might try and herd them home wit some food and lock em back up, but something posessed me to let them out and now there all soaked and probably, knowing my luck...end up sick...
stupid birds!
and stupid me for not listening to my gut and keeping them locked in...but it wasnt actually raining when i let them out and i hadnt checked the forcast for the day...

well, the guy helping me with the shed dropped me a message that he was heading out so should be here soon. going to take a look, if he can get it down without the chain/truck hell do it now, if not hell come back in a few days once the ground has dried out some...
so lets home this realy does go as quick and easy as im hoping.

then this afternoon im going to call the winterization program and see if i can have someone come out and see if i can get a grant for putting new insulation in the attic...it would be great if i could get the drafty kitchen window and back door done too but id be very happy with removing the not so fluffy anymore 50yr old insulation...whihc would probably help the condensation issues too.
warm house+ cold attic - properly working insulation = wet ceilings.

this could end up being a rather productive day...we'll see.

guy arrived, shed is 1/2 way dismantled and hes doing it by hand rather than puling it down.
told him hes welcome to take whatevers salvagable off it as its definatly not easy by hand (i know, i tried it) lol. and hes doing this for pennies.
hes kicking tuckus though and by the end of today itll be GONE...
hes going to bring a trailer back tomorrow to pick up any salvage and hes going to try and pile anything none salvagable in such a way that ill beable to burn it easily.

some of the wood that he doesnt want (too soft) should still be ok for me to use to build some veggie beds for spring too so thats a bonus.
and we'll be working out further jobs as time goes along too, wont be as cheap as hes doing this shed for but as long as i help him out hell help me with the chainsawing, eventually perimeter fencing ect.

hes cute to boot :D and my age...shame im wearing my scruffs and look like ive been dragged through a bush backwards LOL!.

Congrats on getting that shed down - I know you've been wanting that to happen for awhile.

the shed was the first thing on the big list and just been too big of a project for me to undertake alone...and omg i cant tell you how happy i am right now. hes finnishing up the last bits now, about 30 mins or so and hell be done. not much salvagable wood but hes put a small pile aside for him. the rest i can go through and play with at my leaisure. the floor is practically gone so hes going to rip out the framing he can get to easily then leave the rest there, once i remove the trash whats left of the floor wil just crumble away (its almost compost lol)

ill definatly be having this guy back as i ca afford the help, wont be often, but theses just some thigns i cant do alone and hes seriously worked his butt off today! i was just expecitng him to come in pull it down and leave me with a pile of ood to pull apart, but hes removed all the boards, pilled them up, removing the tin (though hes ging to be taking all that, i told him he was elcome to it its not worth much due to conditio...but if he can make an extra $10 off it at the scrap yard...for the work hes done today hes earnt it lol.

the area already looks SOOO much more open, and ill be excited to get it completly cleared out, the brush thats around there trimmed back and see what ive got to realy work with now.
plus, no more worries that its going to fall on me every time i walk past LOL.

*dances*

will getpictures either this afternoo or tomorrow morning (depending on the battery status of ye old camera!)
going to jackson this afternoon with the frineds i house sat for so ill grap some contractor trash bags while were out so i can realy start working on the trash. trash service will haul it away if its bagged up :D
