*giggles* gots are sooo silly!
straw arrived, so we piled it up...turns out hes the supplier for the place i usually buy from,so i bought the EXACT same straw i usually get...for almost a full $2 cheaper and he brought it to me lol
hes going to keep me updated for grass hay too for the spring *yay*
got the new shed bedded down, temporarily hung the mineral feeder with some wire but iwll need to come up with a better option at some point.
still need a hay net in there and need some small individual pails for feeding now, want to b sure everyones getting their fair share.

while i was doing that i let miss daizy off her tether, she checked the fnece once in that time got zappe and wouldnt come neer it again...
then once the new house was bedded down...time for her to join the big girls.

there was some head butting and pushing and im sure there will be plenty more over the next few days as they figure eachother out...
Lilly is dfinatly "boss lady" she was doing most of the posturing while Poppy kinda watched.
the funniest thign though...
ive NEVER seen nubians ears when there in that kind of mood and OMG they have a pretty deacent amount of muscle control over thoe big floppy ears...lillies ears were almost STRIAGHT up as she showed off and made herself look as big as possible! i couldnt help but laugh my butt off, she looked sooo silly!

but yeah.
Daizy is now officially a member of the herd.
I can also make plans to borrow E's Buck for a fe days over the next few weeks to breed poppy and lilly. this buck is GORGEOUS and moon spots...and both lilly and poppy have spots in their background so im hoping for at least one moon spotted girl to hold back
i also might have found my buckling, wont be ready for at least 2 weeks, but hes a blue eyed nigi from some pretty colorful lines, white with chameois spots and black boots and dehorned...so we'll see.

and yeah...just wanted to share that Daizy is in with the big girls :D

Congrats on the straw prices. Glad you've got the gals together now - that'll probably make your life a little easier. Hopefully, they'll settle in and bond into a fine little herd!

Hey Pinky, one thing you can try for the tarps is see if you can find who takes down the billboards. They're basically just a tarp-but w/out the grommets. And, you can buy a grommet kit for fairly cheap and put your own in. Might be a way to save some money.

I got 5 earlier in the year. If I remember correctly, they're 12'x20' each. I would have loved to have found one of the bigger ones. They're heavier and 20'x60'.

coolness, i know theres some bilboard places in jackson will make with some searching :)

in good new...little mizz daizy was stood right at the fence with lilly and poppy at thier usual "if we wait here she brings us noms" time, and all 3 followed me straight to the new shelter...YAY food! ive come to the conclusion you cna make a goat do almost anything if youve got food lol.
she made the mistake of sticking her head in lilly and poppies feed tray (i need to get individual buckets now, but up untill now ive been using kitty litter (new) pans as feed trays, and lilly and poppy share...
she got a head but to the side from lily who was not intereted in sharing...poor poppy just stood there staring at me like "but thats MY bowl..." so i moved daizy over to ehr own bolw (on the other side of the new goat house) and poppy resumed her normal place next to Lilly.

id say Daizies integration into the herd is going well :)
going to see if i can borrow E's buck jasper for the week next week (im hoping a week is all it will take to get Lilly and Poppy bred) would like to have them bred before the beginning of november.
*fningers crossed*

Glad to hear that Daizy is fitting in! You might get lucky and get the breeding done in a week, cuz just bringing the buck to your place could bring the girls in heat in a couple days or so. Is he a full-size buck or a mini? I had the craziest time getting my nubians bred by my pygmy buck, lol!
