It was a good day yesterday. I've sold around $500 so far.

The weather was beautiful and is supposed to be for several days in a row. The gardening itch sure is going around here.

I'm also trying to establish a good customer base for repeat customers each year. If they want 1 plant or 100 plants, I'll grow it.

Something that really suprised me though, was how many people want yellow squash plants. I'm already sold out of over 300 plants. I guess it's because I always sow mine from seed. Cucumbers, too. Alot of people wanted them.

Green bell peppers are a hot item. I barely got some put back for my garden.

Well, back at it again today . . .

Nice to hear from you darlin', I thought maybe you had sewn yourself into a coma! ;)

I would love to have a greenhouse and sell some plants....maybe in the future it will be something I can do but I am so glad things are going well for you. Sounds like you have really been busy, good busy though. I know you are glad to be rid of those kidney stones, what a relief!
Sewing coma, that's a good one. :gig That has been put on the back burner for a while. Saving it for too hot or rainy days.

Lori, you would be suprised at what you can grow in a sunny window or two. We planned for about 6 years and in just 2 years of growing, it's really sprouted (couldn't resist the pun). Just keep on planning . . .

The big greenhouse is nearly empty. I've sold over 2/3 of what I had. We are going to sell till about 11:00 today, then off to see DS race his 4 wheeler.

It was a little bittersweet walking into the greenhouse and it be so empty after many months of hard work. Kind of like "Well, now what am I going to do?"

Not really . . . my garden needs to be planted, house needs a good cleaning, cars need washing, blueberry bushes and grapevines need to go in . . . :duc

Sounds like year one of "greenhouse" was a bang on success!:thumbsup

Very satisfying.

Never fear all those other chores were ALWAYS there ... waiting on us all. :sick

Punkin - do you have to be certified or registered to sell plants in your area? Just curious since I am planning on selling some herb cuttings next year. I have not checked with my states requirements yet but figure its easier to ask forgiveness than permission in most cases. LOL

No, not here in our area. Our county is pretty lax on such things. We have roadside sellers all the time.

In any case, I hope not since I sold some stuff to one of our State Representatives, Saturday. :p

My vegetable plants are dwindling down. I had to hide 4 Brandywines and 4 Green Bell plants for my own garden. I've sold enough to shut down the big green house. Now I won't have to pay to run those fans.

Yesterday, was a busy day. Started at 5:30 cleaning the house till the sun came up. Carried my houseplants outside for the season and started mowing. My yard takes about 2 1/2 to do. During that time, I had to stop for four plant customers who came to the house. (Not complaining, though)

After the mowing, I started picking up rocks from the new cornfield to make flower bed borders. DH got home early and helped. While in the front yard, my Aunt yelled at me to come get some soup beans to go with my supper. She's still a tireless little thing at 90 years old.

We had some good friends to come by and get some tomato plants. I invited them to stay for supper and they did. That made 8 around my dinner table, which was wonderful.

They left shortly after supper, so DH and I gathered eggs & fed and watered the chickens. We planted 2 more blueberry bushes and managed to plant 8 tomato plants that I had put back (4 1 gallon size Park's Whoppers and 4 Brandywines)

Came inside at 8:30 and had a plant order on my message machine. I managed to finally put away 3 loads of laundry from earlier in the day.

I like a long, productive day. Now to get busy on another one . . .
