Yes that would be the last social event with the inlaws for sure. Sounds like DH has some real peices of work in his family. Good for him for sticking up for you. My moms side and dad side has a bunch of crazies that I dishoned years ago so my 'family' is pretty small. Just the way I like it. Like someone else said, you choose your friends not your family. Very low threashold for drama here. Its really going to be made apparent when I have my wedding in a few weeks and there is 8 million people on the grooms side and only about half that many on the brides side 90% friends 10% family. Im glad the majority of my future Dh's family live far away. The future MIL lives about 8 hours away but doesnt miss a beat to infect us with whatever personal drama she is having via phone. I tell ya...some people need to GET A LIFE!!!.

My mother hung up on me today!

We were discussing the pasture fence that Ernie and I have still been trying to finish, and she commented that she doesn't understand why my stepdad and Ernie hadn't completed it the day my stepdad came to help.

I replied that they did work on it, but that our fence is not just a one day job, but takes several days. She snapped back, "Well, I know that, and you should quit yelling at me."

:barnie I hadn't yelled, and when I said so, she replied "well you should really think about how you say things when you talk to me" to which I replied (and yes, I realize I was being a billigerent child  ), "Well, maybe you should stop and think that I probably learned it from my mother, since you talk to me the same way."

Click.

Mom hung up. :smack

Cuz my mom's always right, and you have to listen while she corrects you and points out your faults, but don't you dare point out hers!

We're seriously contemplating selling off everything and moving where no family knows where we are.

Awww. Quail! Bad days indeed!

You are absolutely right about the child molester/rapist good grief, the lengths that people go to to justify their families bad behavior does not make that behavior ok!

I agree that you need to do some research and or talk to a real estate lawyer.

I have 4 kids and used to get the popping out another one type comment form my loving :)he) inlaws. Ignoring stupidity is the best course of action!

Hang in there my dear....things are happening for a reason, just keep on reminding yourself of that fact!

Well, the day got better!

I just got a phone call, not at liberty to share just yet what it was about, but maybe I can in the near future. It's going to depend on how certain events play out. :D

Has nothing to do with the inlaws up here, has nothing to do with housing or animals.......but has a lot to do with the love for family. :D

So I had five lonely little eggs left in my 'bator...the rest of the eggs that had been in the 'bator were due last week, and I got seven chicks.

The five remaining eggs are 2 sizzles, from a BYC'er, and these were a surprised for my DD, 1 Serama from the same BYC'er (just because Serama's are cute), and 2 Blue Laced Red Wyandotte eggs from my own flock (this was to test fertility, etc.)

This morning I had 2 of the 5 eggs hatch, 1 sizzle and 1 BLRW. By this afternoon both sizzles were pipped, the BLRW had made a bigger hole, and the second BLRW pipped.

I just had 1 sizzle chick hatch about 30 minutes ago!! The other sizzle looks like it's trying to zip. The BLRW haven't made anymore progress, but I'm hoping they do by morning. Nothing from the only Serama yet....

Soon as these five are done with thier hatch, I'll be bleaching out the incubator and starting all over with more of my own BLRW, Buff Brahma Bantams (if she continues laying) and hopefully some Speckled Sussex from my own flock. These will all be for the October Mount Hope Swap.

:D

More cute peeps! :)

I hope to get some broiler chicks around the beginning of next month. I wish I could just hatch out my own.

McMurray Hatchery has a bantam grab bag special going on right now....$38!! It comes out to about $1.52 a chick (before shipping) and I'm sitting here telling myself "you don't need them you don't need them". Problem for me is, they are only available until September 1!!!!!! Then the grab bags are done!

I need to go sit on my hands....or press my nose to the incubator.........
