oooh cats... have those too :D

My footwarmers - Leroy the orange cat was supposed to be my only one. Then I got Boots (black and white) and Lil (not pictured). September '09 I picked up a scrawny black mama cat out of the parking lot at work and had her vetted to find a good home. We're still "looking" ;)

I moved back with my folks for about 3 months a couple of years ago and my mom fell in love with my cat, Dot (Boots' full sister), so she still lives there. She has a black nose, a black dot like a half dollar on her chest (can barely see it under her chin) and a black dot on the middle of her belly like a belly button. The Betta fish is Ninja

ETA - no photos of Lil because I can't angle the camera under the bed into the torn box spring where she hides ;) . I also have 2 outside cats - Elmo (in the pic with Buford on my thread) and PITA (yes, pain in the booty), a tabby cat from the pound.

Some pics of Biscuit (****poo, rescued, learning to go off-leash with an e-collar that he no longer needs!)

Here he is in perpetual motion, the view I usually have in the camera frame!

Poor, poor Biscuit, being asked to sit while on the trail...you can see by his ears that he barely touched down!

I also used to put bells on him so he could go a little further and have a little more freedom without getting too far away. I called him back before those bells got too faint....walking on the xmas tree farm, though, he could disappear behind a tree and I didn't know if he was 3 yards away or 300 yards away until I got the idea of the bells. What a difference it made. He has since been trained to run loops and check in often. I call him to me and put him in a sit several times on each walk now (totally off-leash) just to remind him. He is such a happy doggie!

I love all these pictures of everyone's animals. I haven't had time to comment on them all, but trust me, I've ooh'd and ahhhh'd over each and every one! Thank you all! :hugs

ETA: That is NOT a poodle poof you see on his tail! He had a nice, feathery Golden Retriever tail and he sits on the rug and wags it in joy and adoration so much that it got hopelessly matted and the groomer had to shave a bit at the base of his tail! It is nicely grown back in now, and he is not put into so many sit-stays as he is a wonderful boy now. So not so much tail-wagging on the rug. Usually on one of our laps!

AL- I have a cat who does exactly what Dot does!!! I have some great pictures of him pawing and stalking the beta bowl, but alas, my computer is being fixed so for now all I have is this pic of my two dogs, Aspen and Morgan. Aspen is the white and brown dog and Morgan is the Sharpei mix - prolly mixed with greyhound since all she does is run and refuses to gain weight!

Wow! look at all these pictures. How fun.

Yea, AL for bringin' on the kitties.......let the kitty parade begin!

Free, Biscuit looks like such a happy little dog!

JRMom your pool picture looks like it could have been taken at my house....we have one of those for the dogs. The second picture looks like a professional shot!

And Glenolam, your dogs look nice and trim and healthy. I'm embarassed to show a side-view of Deirdre because she is FAT.

"Fat dog" is her nick-name.

Aspen's a bit of a porker, but she's been diagnosed with a heart murmor and she's only 6 1/2 so she's slowly starting to loose weight. 2# in 2 years I guess isn't too bad, but we're starting to notice it and she's slowing down. Now she's become allergic to fleas and has to have a 'special' bath once a week. Poor thing has ripped the hair out of a spot on her tail from itching. She seemed to enjoy her bath last night, though.

Morgie finally started to plateau on her weight issues about a year ago but for a long time people thought we mistreated her because you could ALWAYS see/feel her hips and ribs. We keep our dog's bowl full 24/7 (and cat's too for that matter) because they don't over eat ever - she just has a fast metabolism.

Buddy and Alaska playing fetch.....or keep-away depends on who you're asking :) Both rescue dogs.

I think I saw in one of your posts (sorry I don't remember exactly where) that you make your own laundry detergent?

Lovinlife, your dogs are so adorable. Basset mixes?

Yes! I love my homemade laundry detergent. Do you need the recipe?

glenolam, believe it or not, there are fat greyhounds out there. Scarlett, our greyhound dressed up as Scarlett O'Hara in my other post, was a 55 - 57 lb greyhound normally. When she was an only hound child she got up to 65 lbs. I always joked that she was trying to be a black lab (I know not all black labs are over weight, but I have known an awful lot of chubby ones.). When we lived near Madison, WI, we did a meet 'n greet at a bookstore and Scarlett did her best to prove that greyhounds weren't hyper by sleeping through most of the event. Some of us were talking about food (the human kind) and pizza was mentioned. Guess who woke up??? Scarlett was such a food hound. She got down to her ideal weight once we adopted Rhett and she no longer could have a full piece of pizza whenever we had pizza for supper.
