I must say I'm enjoying John best of what we have read so far. Perhaps because it is familiar? There is so much information about John 3:16 on the internet, it was interesting googling it and seeing all the things that came up.

Where are we supposed to BE in John at this point? BB I liked it when the title included where we are in the Bible, like a place marker. I got a little behind when my goats kidded. And this is such an active thread I sometimes miss sections and don't realize it.

Enjoying John1, as well. I like to present a topic to all input. In chapter 4, Apostle John's focus is on love so how do you define love? It is a word that is used so often and I feel we take this word lightly and interesting enough it is a word that should show strong feelings of affection. So how do we really feel about our fellow brothers and sisters. Do we truly know the true meaning of this word? Looking forward to the answers and ideas.

Got into a HUGE debate with my hubby that lasted many years about that word love.

I was all girl and typical talking about love. Talking about my feelings of love. Love is a noun it is a tangible thing... right? Wrong, according to my hubby. He STRONGLY believes that love is a VERB. Love is an action!

I have been married a long time to this guy and he has won the argument. Love IS a verb. Love is God giving his Son for us. Love is God listening to our prayers. Love is God watching over us and caring for us. Yup. Love is a verb alright.

:thumbsup I so agree it should be a verb. I feel it is in our action in our every day life and how we treat one and other. I have learned today how e-mail ,post or such are hard to really see what or how a person feels and their intentions. When you can't see a person when you are comunicating it can be hard sometimes to know how you are effecting them. I thought I was helping someone who wanted advice and was asking for it. I don't know why but the person was thinking I was judging them. I am taking today as learning experience and instead of jumping to myself defense I apologized.

:hugs bambi...it happens, and all you can do is forge ahead. You know in your heart what your intentions were and so does God, and isn't that all that matters?

Shiloh, you are handling a very sticky situation with a lot of grace :clap
Good for you :thumbsup

One (2?) of my faves is Micah 7:7-8
But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. 8 Do not gloat over me, my enemy!
Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.
