God is PERFECTLY HOLY. That means sin can not be anywhere near him. This means, I believe, in the end we will have judgment. We EACH and EVERYONE will someday be held accountable for the all of sins that we have committed, including arrogance, pride, being judgmental and being a hypocrite. Personally I have done them all at some point. Some of us will have our sin debts marked as "Paid" and some will have to pay the price themselves.

I am a firm believer that the words of the Bible are FACT. They are Truth. They will hold up no matter how hard you look at them. The Truth is there. We just have to get beyond our human egos and frailties to seek it out.
The words of the Bible definitely are FACT and TRUTH. Judgement day is something I have never really understood and actually should get on and study! I think we are going to be judged of the sins we never asked forgiveness for and repented of. The ones we take part in after our day of salvation. Judgement day is a little scary to me :D I don't always remember to pray in the evening and ask the Lord to help me remember all the times I may have sinned that day, but when I do, he really does bring back to memory the things of that day that weren't a glowing example of who I should be.

Good day for mine - DW's working, the girls are with friends, and the son's Young Marine unit marched in the Akron parade - cant' believe he's not yet a teenager, but so mature. Father and son day out, great times!

As I understand it, ALL of our sins are covered. Past, present (sometimes we don't know till later we are sinning) and future sins ALL covered. When Jesus said, "It is Finished." (John 19:30) he meant all of it. I had never thought about it before I heard a preacher teach about it, but when Jesus died and said those words ALL of MY sins were FUTURE sins since I wasn't even born yet!

I do think that we are to be repentant of our sins, ask for forgiveness and try our humanly best not to repeat them. That is obedience. The reward for that is peace, a closer walk with the Father and a deeper better understanding of his Word. :D

What section of the Bible are we supposed to be reading? I'm sorry but I've lost my place on where we are.

I thought we were all going to read the same sections and then discuss it. We are kind of rambling around talking about different things but I think we need a little more structure.

My Bible is still bookmarked at John. Can we either continue with John or begin a new section to read?

The topic of children was suggested. Is there a book of the Bible that deals with children especially?
