I'll try not to be in the way or slow you down- most of my online time is in the evenings after the kiddos pack it in for the night, so I will be more of a "lurker".
On vacation right now - had a little free time today, so I thought I'd check this out.
Thanks in advance for your support.
I'm new to Bible study so don't feel ready to comment yet, but they have encouraged me anyways!
Let's start back Sunday. We're not having church Sunday, and I'd love to enjoy my normal church time with ya'll.BarredBuff said:Should we adjourn on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday? Or start back Sunday? What does everyone think?
Sounds good to me! I am having church but the more we study the better!Wannabefree said:Let's start back Sunday. You have to have trust to have faith. That being said, I would have totally failed the test given Abraham's situation.I don't understand how people do not equate Faith with Trust
Techically a Gentile is one from the nations that doesn't believe in the Holy One.BarredBuff said:So does this mean God loves Jew and Gentile equally?
[From what I have been reading I see that Paul was sent to Galatia because they were bringing the Jewish Laws back, right?
That is really awesome, I never knew that. But I do have a question...does it have to be specifically Judaism that the person believes and becomes part of, or is it the entire body of Christ, as in bible believer, not as in Baptist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian etc. To me those are just titles. I know it's more than that, but I'd be hard pressed to find a church that believes EVERYTHING I do around here in the sticksRebbetzin said:Techically a Gentile is one from the nations that doesn't believe in the Holy One.BarredBuff said:So does this mean God loves Jew and Gentile equally?

If you are a "grafted in" person, you are a "Ger", or "Proselyte"
In Judaism, one that chooses to be Jewish, is held in very high esteem. Once you go into the waters of the mikvah/baptism you are never to be reminded of your "old life", you are then fully a Jew, same as one born Jewish.
When one is "grafted in" to "Believing Israel", there is no longer a wall of separation between the different nations and the Jews. We are to be "ONE" as Messiah is ONE with the Father.
Its so handy to have you here!! So technically Im Jew nor gentile...Im christian, right?Rebbetzin said:Techically a Gentile is one from the nations that doesn't believe in the Holy One.BarredBuff said:So does this mean God loves Jew and Gentile equally?

Well, in Christian circles, yes, you are one who is now grafted into "The Commonwealth of Believing Israel"...BarredBuff said:Its so handy to have you here!! So technically Im Jew nor gentile...Im christian, right?
