Well, at least now since I've seen your pic, I can stop wondering if you're one of my cousins that I lost contact with. :p

Liked the news report style intro. I hope being outspoken on certain subjects wont be a crime anytime soon. :hide I could get into some trouble.
Do you have any family from Metarie? You look enough like one of my friends to be family to him.

"Stone Rockman here, with a news flash! A man from northern Louisiana was arrested by the the FBI today, for trying to be free and going "green". Being self sufficient results in a maximum penalty of twenty years to life in prison. His only defense strategy was to blame corporate slavery and the all-mighty dollar. If only he had been wealthy enough to afford a real lawyer, instead of representing himself. He might have gotten away with his freedom crimes
Here is his mugshot:

"This man should be considered as wordy, and verbally armed! He is very opinionated, and thinks our fossil fueled gods are actually Demons. He believes in only one God, and worst of all, he thinks that people should be FREE!" If you see this man, please stop him from ending our dictatorship of you, by dialing 1-800-love capitalist slavery. Your foreign owned corporate bosses thank you!
Well other than having about as much hair on your head as I do and maybe I have a bit more on my face, I thought I was going to find MY picture attached to this "wanted poster"!

You have the exact likeness to my friend Tony who is from LA. and shares that common "approach" OooooRah!
I'm going to the post office now to check to see what the FBI has on this guy. I'll bet it is going to be "really good"

If you want to know, think RIGHT too!

Yeah, i lost 40 pounds, but still pretty fat and ugly. It isn't even how i picture myself. I still see myself as a long haired and handsome, man about the town in the 1980s. I just try to avoid mirrors.
Yesterday, an old friend who had moved to a more affluent neighborhood, had come by to get some mail that the new owners of her previous home had gotten in the mail, and thought was important. She saw me pull in the driveway, coming home from the icehouse vending machine, and drove down the street to say hi.
"Hey Sunsaver!"
"Hey ex-neighbor. How's it going?"
"Wow! You've lost a lot of weight! What have you been doing?"
That made me feel good. Somebody finally noticed! It had been about three months since i had seen her, and she looked more attractive than i remembered her.
"Just stopped eating processed foods. I snack on dried fruits, nuts, veggies and meats, or cheese. Just real food, as much as i want."
"Oh! I can't live without my doritos!"
"I think nuts and fruits are more filling, so i end up eating fewer calories without really thinking about it. I still eat as much as i want, just nothing with weird chemicals in it."
"So how's your garden doing?"
"Best ever! I've got a pretty good crop of grapes, peppers, squash and onions. I've got chard, turnip greens, ..."
"Okay! I get it! You've always had a green thumb."
"Well, it was great to see you!"
"You too!"

You are not fat and ugly silly, that isn't what I meant when I said that your picture isn't what I pictured. I did kinda picture longer hair, frizzy for some reason, and older than your photo, dressed for gardening, probably wearing a hat.

I don't think I look like that person in the mirror either. She is MUCH older than me. And I've never been as chubby as her, either.

It's easier for people that dont see you everyday to see the difference after you dropped weight. I want to drop some pounds, but having been doing much about it. I'm used to eating mostly natural, so dropping junk food wouldn't change as much. Stress or depression puts weight on me.

People say i look much younger than i am, and living to a very old age runs in the family. If my hair grows out, you can see the salt and pepper that says 40 something, and the balding, and my hair does get pretty curly, SD. I used to have beautiful long hair, but those days are long gone. I was talking to a customer one day, and i said "when you get to be our age.." And the man got all stuffy and straitened himself up tall: "What do you mean, OUR age! How old are you?" When i told him, he seemed aghast, and then just smiled. "Gosh, you're two years old than me! I thought you were just a kid!"
The worst part about looking younger than you are, is dealing with the opposite sex. If i smile at a good-looking, fifty year old woman, i get a "go to H." look. Then i turn around and see a teenage girl smiling at me, and i have to give her a "go to H." look.
Well this week i am dog-sitting. My 80 something parents are out seeing the world, some relatives from our home land of Kentuck. Turns out we are related the Crockett's , as in Davy, and the Jefferson's as in Thomas. I didn't know i had any blue blood in me. Hope it doesn't make it to my head. So i'm stuck with Princess Lily, Monkeygirl, and the Fat Man. It works okay because they just avoid each other like, well, cats and dogs! But i miss my monkeygirl. She's afraid to come around the dog, so the dog's been keeping me company today. I guess when she gets hungry enough, she'll come out from under the house.
I really enjoy looking at other people's pics, so here are some more garden pics. I just joined the EG sister site, so i guess i'll post some over there as well:

Here is Princess Lily:

Here's a shot of wild passion flower vine, also called "Maypop", which makes a delish fruit, similar to pomegranite:
