Thank you so much!!! I will try that next time Pam. Very frustrating!!!

It is a round plastic loom they sell at WM and other places. Actually they have several different shapes and sizes. Wifezilla posted some hats last year and they were wonderful so I bought my self one. Normally I crochet but this thing is soooooooo easy. At least this basic stitch is. The first time I tried I had 4 pl worsted wool and wound it way to tight. Most of these hats are made with bulky yarn. Except the light blue one and the baby hat. They are two strands at one time.

Very fun and quick. I can usually do a hat in one day!! Shhhhh don't tell I want them to think I slaved over these.

Different shapes and sizes? What if you only what to do say..a baby blanket? Does it matter what size you get?:hide

Jason you sound just like my husband. He wanted the kids initials added in and all kinds of fancy stuff. I asked him if he wanted to do them. I don't have to worry about initials any more. :p

The hat I can do but I have not actually made any clothing yet. I will need to get back to you on that one. Good to see you sporting a sense of humor. I hope things are going well for you.

They have long skinny looms used for ponchos and baby blankets. I think it would just depend on how big you wanted it.

http://yarngear.com/looms/ I found this for you to look at. Might explain it better.

I have a gazillion knifty knitter looms :D

I have wood ones too...different brand but they come in different sizes that you can't get in the KK. Every time I see them at a garage sale, I buy them too :D I wore out a couple of sets and it helps to have replacement pegs!

I am doing great, there are many myths about peoples attitudes when they stop smoking. When I took that seminar I learned a lot on how the addiction works. To keep a positive attitude you have to understand the hole thing.

Today, I feel more confident about myself, in a more I am in control of myself once again kinda way.

Yes, my granny use to make us hats, mom never did that sort of thing. But scarfs, hats, bed socks, dog booties, and all kinds of neat stuff. It was very nice to have stuff made for me when I was a little guy, made me feel more special. :hugs

After we lost a few hats as kids, mom bought us each a loom and we had to make our own. The only problem was our Irish Setter was a hat thief. If we were sledding, she would run along side your sled, steal your hat and hide it. We made SO many hats one year...LOL

During spring thaw we found them all in a pile in the woods. :p

Beautiful work! We will never tell anyone that they were easy, because they look like they take forever and are simply works of art. :D

I really love the whole dutch oven cooking thing as well. I often make dutch oven recipes when I am at home using the oven just to practice. I don't know if I would know how to cook without my cast iron!

Thank you WZ, I am going to WM tomorrow and get a purple one. Then I will go to Hobby Lobby and pick someones brains about what kind of yarn to get, lol! Do I need to get any other basic tools-needles, additional instruction books? :hide Thank you!

Thickers yarns work better on the KK. One of my favorites to use is Wooleze. It is a machine washable wool blend. Comes in all kinds of colors. I just used the purple KK to make myself a scarf out of Wooleze Chunky. The color was "Wheat".
