more tomatoes if i can get around to it today and/or tomorrow.
It was a good night for buyers! The usual attendance was down but, it's pretty "end of season" for many things. But, I took some pics for those who don't have these available. It was still fun -- for us bidding
Got there a little early & they were setting up as sellers were unloading. You get to walk and look and smell, until start.
The sellers must bring own containers, that leave with produce sold. Their goods are on a pallet, which are lined up with several (5-6) rows under the structure. They draw each week to determine which row to start, so it varies. Also, farmers bringing several pallet loads had their produce randomly placed, not all together. That way the bidding gives equal support thruout.
Go get your number to bid!!

You see all manner of sizes of containers & they are sold by container. High bidder can take 1 or all containers of the item, if say 10 boxes of tomatoes & bidders wants 3, next high gets # wanted, etc, until all taken. If not all spoken for, they rebid those, usually you must take all left...or at least 4, or such.
These are just pics of some of the pallets as they were moving them. You can see the variation of quantity in box sizes. Yes, flowers sold, also. Sometimes baked goods, those are huge crates of melons in left of this pic.

I will assume that you were aiming that toward me. I'm sorry you felt harassed. That was certainly not my intention. Rather, I would prefer people not catch botulism, and it is a topic that I personally felt was important. You said it yourself, we come here to talk about "different methods we've tried or didn't try." That's the last I'm going to comment on this thread.
