We have an end table in the living room that I HATED. It was dark wood finished, all scrathed up. Grooves on the top that my sewing needles get lost in. An ugly drawer we never use. And 1/2 of it was particle board that "puffed up" from moisture wherever the finished was worn through.

But my fiance and I both like the size, the height, and the shelf below.

Yesterday I took a careful look at it. The styling/shape isn't bad at all. I dug out some leftover paint that coordinates in the room. Sanded the gloss off the remaining finish, filled the irritationg cracks, and swiped 2 coats of paint on it. When I put it back, I turned it around to so the drawer faces the wall.

Voila! I have a "new," perfect end table. :celebrate

I got on my big girl panties and used my Diva Cup. No more money wasted on pads/tampons for the rest of my life. And no more icky bathroom garbage can. :sick

I called my psychiatrist before my symptoms got out of control and he adjusted my medications to avoid the impending HUGE spending spree. Woot! Thanks, doc!

Our biggest bad food habit is DiGiorno and Campbell's Chunky soup. Mostly my fiance's bad habits, lol. I made a pizza. Not perfect, but I'll keep changing the recipe until I find something equal to or better than DiGiorno.

And I made a FABULOUS soup that even my critical man agrees is better than soup in a can. O.M.G. it was to die for! Fortunately I remembered and wrote down my recipe.

:drool

I saved 2 empty laundry detergent tubs and I'm preparing mentally for making detergent! Can't wait.

I haven't done a lot, but I'm excessively proud of the end table project!

I picked up a dime on the parking lot  Penny saved is a penny earned...well dime...whatever :D

I made homemade chilli with veggies from the garden and meat I got on sale.

I left all lights/AC off today...except my computer and the usual stuff. I also added stuff into the freezer and fridge...did you all know that empty space in a freezer or fridge makes it run less efficiently? You wind up paying more to cool air! So I try to keep mine both full!! Plus it's a comfort to know I have it full anyway ;)

I dried some more peppers and stuff from gardens today. Making grape and strawberry jelly tomorrow. FYI 6 pounds of tomatoes WILL fit in a pint jar  Sorry...that just still amazes me..I'm easily entertained. :p

I clipped a LOAD of coupons and plan on putting them to good use Thursday and Friday...planning shopping lists according to sales ads. ONLY buying stuff on the list!

That's about it for me today.....

I made a batch of chilli with all the ingredients from our garden and the beef was from a beef from last winter that was in the freezer. The beans I added were from dried beans last year as well that I had canned. I added 1 whole cayenne pepper from the garden and it was super hot! We loved it! Plus all the ingredients were right from our own garden.:D

I did some major fridge cleaning before things started to rot. I hate it when things get overwhelming schedule wise and food gets thrown out. So, I froze the rest of the container of tomato juice for future soapmaking. Cooked up the 1-week-old squash and turned it into pie and 5 cups of puree for the freezer. Mixed the leftover beans and rice, added cooked hamburger, put in some of the tomato juice (before freezing) and seasoned for a taco mix. Brought hot peppers to a guy at work, which needed using up. Sold 3 pints of raspberries at work rather than letting them dry on the bush. Gave a gallon of beans to MIL.

Still need to get to apple 2nds for fruit roll-ups for brother's b-day and the oldish pears for pear puree for my baby nephew.

Also need to take care of about 5 lb of fall rhubarb still drying out in the fridge :p

Garage sale tomorrow! Yippee. So glad to get some stuff out of my house....simplify, simplify simplify.....my new mantra. I was thinking earlier what to do with the money I earn tomorrow, and than it came to me....save it. Voila money saved. I need to change my mindset.

Threw together a pot of chicken tortilla soup today in the slowcooker for my kids for lunch, school closed. Used freezer bits and pieces. They loved it. Dinner was thrown together, really need to get a menu plan together. Will do this weekend. That always saves me money too.

Didn't feed the pigs again today, except for a gallon of acorns I picked up while walking the dogs in the pouring rain. They still have plenty of free squash, pumpkins, and ears of corn left that they are working on.
