OK, since someone mentioned Weiner, am I the only one that thought his name was appropriate?

That is about the only thing that is "appropriate" about that guy. What a nutter. Why would anyone want to do stupid stuff like that? I mean come on now, didn't he just get married? What a bozo.

Well, anyway, I don't think I am that much of a politician seeing how the guy I beat only had an 8th grade education.

So I finally got that spot under the maple mulched and weeded. I also had to cut out a bunch of suckers on the tree. And the ratty rose bush I dug out last year is back. Zombie rose bush...yupyupyup.

The side yard is partially done. The dumb thing on my part is that area will probably end up being the best place to grow things because it is sheltered from the non-stop winds.

Speaking of wind, my straw bale garden is a fail. Check the farm blog for details

Hee hee hee. Now that's funny.

I don't want to get too excited, but i think only one of my new quail babies is a boy. The other 5 look like girls!!! Now there is one of the alleged girls that is pretty loud and mouthy. With quail the girls usually just sing quietly, but there are those occasional lippy Lucy types. One of my English white hens is really loud. So hopefully that one chick is just a yacker.

I will know for sure in about a week for sure what I have. The plan is boys=food, but if I only have one that is hardly worth the effort.

As for the baby ducks, they are almost adult size. I should be able let them and mom out with the rest of the flock next week. Still no quacking, but their feet are getting darker and there is more black on their bills. Both signs of being girls for welsh harlequins.
