wow what a roller coaster ride!!

sorry about the car - that sucks.
:-(

but the upside to a down economy is that there is probably someone who needs to get out of a lease or something - so there may be a good deal out there for you! or you could post an ad that says "trade ducks for car?"

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

:)

Hee hee hee.

Yes...I can see the ad now....

"Ducks for Clunkers! Will trade your running older model pickup for a trunk load of ducks! All ages and sizes. I will even throw in some eggs if the stereo and ac are still working."

How about ... "Big Ducks paid for your quality low mileage vehicle." "Extra Down payment for late models with stereo and AC."

hmmm, I don't know if "eggs" and "throw" in the same sentence are a good idea....

Congrats on the card! I'd go for fencing personally..... but DH could use a new mower.

You could try the barter section on Craigslist. You have lots of stuff or skills that could be valuable to other people.
You could use the heading

Duck for Truck
I need a truck and have ducks, quail, duck& quail eggs, homegrown _________ (any veggies you had a great harvest of), or help with your garden work.
I am a graphic artist and have a print shop, if you have a business that needs promoting.

This is partially joking, but a laugh may get the right person to actually read it or tell somebody they know to call you. Craigslist is a free ad, so it wouldn't hurt to try.

Btw- I know this was crazy. But somebody might barter for at least part of the cost. Or it might just give you a laugh, which is fine too.

hee hee hee clucks for clunkers and ducks for trucks! ha! we could revolutionize the car buying process! whoooot!

actually i tried to trade some poultry for a calf once.. you know how QA was seeing all those sale barn calves for like $6?? so i figured i'd be saving that guy the gas to drive it up there.

wow he did not think it was funny at all. ha! i got a pointed note about how it was a "well bred calf" and there way no way he'd trade for some stupid chickens. ha ha ha ha ha but i kinda wondered why he just didnt put a price in the ad.

anyway - you never know - you might find the right person!!

If I could get a truck for a duck, I'd be a hatching fool right now  I must have 4 dozen duck eggs just sitting around.
